Works perfectly with the seat I bought. Most seats will fit it fine. It swivels without buying anything extra, which isn't explained in the product description. I'm customizing a boat and built a platform to mount this on. Unbelievable quality for the price! Exactly what I needed.

had looked online to several boating sites and was amazed at the prices they were wanting to charge for these seat pedestals. I was just cruising through walmarts site and was very pleasantly surprised at the amount of boating supplies available, and were available for free site to store delivery.
Sturdy pedestal at half the price of other models, and without a loss in quality. Very Sturdy. Does not come with mounting hardware (screws). I paired with "Wise Economy High Back Seats". Now this was an inexpensive solution to fixing up those back to back lounge seats!
I am very rough on boats and boat seats when duck season opens up. These pedistals put me up in the boat enough so i don't have to stand to shoot. Very sterdy and dependable. The adjustment makes this pedistal very versital for the average fisherman or the extreme duck hunter.
Overall exactly as advertised. A bit hard to adjust up and down but that should improve with wear. Fits nicely in boat and when mounted with screws and fender washers it is very secure to the floor in my boat.
I have never owned a pedestal for a boat seat quite like this before. What can I say, other than, it's boat seat pedestal! It seems strong. It has never dropped my butt in the water or the bottom of the boat. But, since I have not installed it yet, perhaps that explains why. I bought it a week ago and Walmart is asking me to review it so here goes. It looks good. Fit and finish looks fine. It came out of the nicely packed cardboard box easily. I think I am going to like it! Two thumbs up!
The wobbling is more noticeable when trolling or drifting or when hitting a wave. It is annoying on many levels. One being that one would think a company would be able to engineer such a pedestal without removing the wobble. The second is actually using this product on the water is distracting. I guess this is the reason the product is reasonably priced.
Had no height info when I order it, and had to return it because it was to tall for my boat. Walmart pls include height and all dimension in you ad.
5 mph max speed!!! Description forgot to give that information rated B. I called Wise after reading decal on pedestal. They told me I needed a pedestal rated AD or AP for a Driver seat and Passenger seat. When I asked for a part number I was told to go to a web page that gives no ratings???? Walmart took them back with no problem.
