Old Fashioned Electric Ice Cream Maker. I've never tried to make ice cream before, but the first time gave me the smoothest mixed berry ice cream that my family has had. The ice, and rock salt combo makes you feel like you're at grandma's house enjoying the love through her cooking. I love that I can use natural ingredients, and be able to satisfy our sweet teeth!

I easily followed the recipe from the instruction/recipe book it came with and make delicious homemade ice cream in 50 minutes! 5 minutes was just measuring out the ingredients. Super quick and ready to go in 45! The texture of the ice cream was smooth and creamy. I used homemade vanilla I made back in December and it perfect for the vanilla cream. Cleaning was a breeze. The only negative is it's A bit large to store where I keep my crockpot so it'll have to go out in the garage when not I. Sue. Very excited to try other flavors!

The ice cream maker itself is easy to use and comes with instructions and recipes, book recipes that include a lot of ice cream, gelato, sorbets, and frozen yogurt recipes. It's so easy to use,just put the matel container in the freezer for at least for 4 hr then put the wiped cream with your favorite flavor I put vanilla beans, and suger then close the led and put it inside the pine exterior bucket that full with ice and rock salt,then turn on the ice cream maker, and you will get your delicious and creamiest vanilla ice cream ever with less than 30 min .and my kiddos love it much,and it is so easy to clean it, I definitely will try to make the other ice cream recipes from the book.i highly recommend this ice cream maker it's really worth it.

I must be getting up in my age, because this is BY FAR the BEST product I've been sent to try! I used to make homemade ice cream using snow and one of these when I was a little girl!! It made my whole day then and now! There's nothing like being able to make WHATEVER flavor ice cream, gelato, sorbet, or froyo you'd like right at home! No more waiting in long lines at Braums for that sweet treat to beat the heat! Now, we just grab some cones, sprinkles, and whatever other toppings we want, and make it ourselves! It's easy to use and set up! It is kind of loud when it runs, but that's due to friction between the ice, the walls, and the canister. It comes with pretty much all you would need to get started, minus ingredients and rock salt. We made cookies and cream ice cream for our first go! We used our own recipe, but there are several in the owner's manual to choose from! Took about 40 minutes till it was soft serve consistency! We put it in the freezer for a bit to get a firmer consistency! It was SO yummy! And cleanup was a breeze! Love that you can store the ice cream in the 4 qt. freezer canister, and that it comes with a lid for freezing! I would highly recommend this maker of iced treats!

Everything is electric so there's no hard work involved despite the vintage look. I actually want to leave it out, but counter space is limited, so we will have to store it when not in use. The recipe book was handy, and the ice cream was rich. Keep in mind that it does come out more like a soft serve, although it'll harden up a bit after some time in the freezer. Love, love, love that you can store it right in the canister too. If you're in the market for an ice cream maker, this is the way to go.

We even had some left over to put in the freezer. It cleans up well and will be a great asset to our household this summer. We found a recipe for a Wendy's-like frosty, and this worked perfectly for that application.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this is super easy to use. I was excited to try this out since it looked similar to the ice cream maker my parents had when I was a kid. It can make a lot of ice cream all at once. This gets the ice cream to a soft serve like consistency, so you do have to put it in the freezer for a few hours if you want a more frozen and firm ice cream that stays in a scoop shape. The first batch we made was a total fail. DO NOT TRY THE PUMPKIN ICE CREAM RECIPE IN THE MANUAL. We tried the pumpkin ice cream recipe and there is an error in the recipe: it doesn't have you add any kind of sweetener. We didn't realize this until after tasting it and ended up throwing out the whole batch. The motor also seemed to get overheated when the ice cream thickened up and shut off automatically while mixing. It did turn back on later though and seems to be working fine now. The vanilla bean ice cream turned out much better! Looking forward to trying more of the recipes.
