I had naturally straight hair, but it has gotten wavy. This works well to control my waves and make it straighter. But I have to blow dry it and flat iron it to get it really pin straight. This product has the most amazing smell, out of all of the Herbal Essences this one smells the best. The pear smells fantastic. I really recommend this to anyone who likes to be complimented on the smell of their hair. :D
I have natuarally wavy hair, and with other shampoos when I blow dry and straighten my hair it still tends to be fizzy and an undesirable texture. This helped my hair when I straightened it and smooth it out, but I could still use this shampoo and wear my hair wavy which I also liked. I got complimented on the smell of my hair ALL the time when I used this shampoo. My friends would always smell it!
i use this with the conditioner whenever i want my hair straightened. if you rinse and repeat with the shampoo, your hair will be easier to straightened. make sure you blow dry it. i recomend adding some of the none of your frizziness gell while your hairs still damp. oh yah, and if your is getting dried out, use the mousturizing conditioner with it for a couple of weeks. hope this was helpful! :}
i bought this at walmart b/c i though it smelled great. I also got the long hair one to use, but i gave it to my sister instead. this shampoo smells wonderful, and it makes my thin hair silkier and shinier than it already is, being so fine. It's great for fine hair. I have straight hair, but i wanted something meant for my hair type that wouldn't flatten it too much. it also helps with sometimes when my hair gets all bumpy; it makes it perfectly straight. i wouldn't recommend it to someone with curly hair, b/c obviously it's meant for straight hair. just because it says "want straight hair?" it's just meant for straight or slightly wavy hair, it doesn't make curly hair straight. well i love it but i can't believe they got rid of the hairspray and mousse. i still have some left in the bottles but they don't have them anymore boohoo. bring them back herbal essences!!!
my dad got me the dangerously straight shampoo and conditioner for me for christmas. i do anything i can to get my hair to stay straight as long as possible and this did it for me. i used it the night before we took a day trip to washington dc and by the end of the day my hair was still straight. the only thing is my hair doesn't dry straight, which is completely understandable, i mean i don't expect it to change my dna and give me straight hair, but it definitely helps when i straighten my hair.
I've been using HE products for 10 years but been using this product ever since it came out - can't remember how long, a year??? But anyway, I have naturally wavy and thick hair. I'm in the midwest where it gets pretty humid in the summer. I've always had to use my straightener after blow drying. It did work really well in the fall/winter. Recently, it didn't do its job so I'm having to straighten it everyday!! I love the smell as well. Now, I'm trying out the Long Term Relationship product and its working quite well so far. I'm assuming Dangerously Straight is not working for me anymore :(
pin straight shampoo and conditioner were okay. the smell is really strong and lasts for a few days. it makes your hair really soft, sleek, and shiny too. it doesnt straighten your hair though. it does help create a sleeker, shinier look, but overall, you have to straighten your hair if you want it straight. this product works better on people with straight hair that want it to be even smoother and silkier.
Overall, I like the shampoo, however it does nothing to straighten my hair. I probably will continue to use it because the price is good and it cleans well, but I was hoping for once to have a shampoo that really did help straighten. I do also use the conditioner.
it made my hair greasy and flat..no body...im not impressed i had bad hair days intil a bought long term realationship! i still love herbal essences though! just not 1 of there best products
This is a review from a 2007-year use. If you have curly hair, this is NOT the collection for you. I tried to make my hair straight in 2007, but it just made it in even worse condition. My hair looked really poofy after straightening it. After awhile, I just had to stop straightening it because it was so dry. But as far as cleanliness goes, it cleans pretty well. I recommend this for people with straight hair but want to keep it straight. People should know that a straight-hair product will NOT straighten your hair! Trust me, I learned all this the hard way!
