The purpose for buying this item is because the ends are already cut. However, the pack I purchase looked as though they had been cut with dull scissors a while back as the ends were shattered and browned. One was cracked and brown from end to end. Considering I had to re-cut the ends I should have just bought the regular stalks. The taste was ok, but not as fresh tasting\smelling.
