My husband bought me these for my birthday. I lost them about 1.5 years later. I went out on a limb and bought a refurb pair from JBL with my fingers crossed. Here's the straight story: these have WONDERFUL sound quality. BUT they are fussy in their maintenance. I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about disconnection, one speaker quieter than the other etc. 1) these are tricky to seat in the charging case correctly. If one is not seated well, it will not charge and that's how you get one earbud disconnecting intermittently. 2) when I received the refurb pair, the right earbud was hardly audible compared to the high volume on the left earbud. Here's the fix for both refurb or original pair: remove the rubber in-ear gasket to reveal the tiny speaker surface. Take a first aid alcohol pad and gently swipe across the speaker surface until all residue is removed. I just did this to the refurb pair I received in the mail and - bam - volume problem solved. If the wiping doesn't work the first time. Go at a second round of cleaning until you get the volume. 3) the battery warning isn't always accurate. If you're getting disconnection problems, just fully charge the case and you won't have the disconnection problem. Again, these are fussy. But if you know how to maintain them, they are fantastic - both regular pair and refurb pair.
I bought this item with the intent of exercising often. It works good for about the first 3 weeks , then after the left ear loses 90% of its volume . This will be my 4th pair that did the same thing . This is major manufacturing flaw that should be looked at before any more is made .
The JBL Reflect Mini NC is probably my 7th pair of bluetooth headphones. They fall towards the middle in terms of features (or lack thereof), sound quality, and ease of use. I know and trust JBL's sound quality and the Reflect Mini NC in stereo mode, after EQ adjustment on the app, does not disappoint. Where they fall short is the lack of multipoint connection which seems to be pretty standard with other bluetooth headphones. Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons of the Reflect Mini NC Pros: -really good sound quality on stereo mode -ability to use left or right earbud independently -ability to create custom EQ settings -stays put -IP67 rated Cons: -lack of multipoint connect -- must disconnect from one device before connecting to another -must adjust sound through JBL Headphones app. -Mono mode falls flat. -gestures limited to one function (i.e. voice assistant, ambient sound control, volume, playback) per earbud. Cannot set tap to play/pause, double tap for voice assistant for example. Limiting when only one bud is used. -bulky - bulky case, bulky earbuds. earbuds stick out farther than other bluetooth headphones not ideal for certain piercings or those who plan to use while side-lying
charging is far too sensitive. Earbuds can shift when lid is closed and discharge - countless times went to use them after being charged and left earbud is drained. Charge case needs to be more robust and secure the earbuds in place to assure charging.
No me funciona la cancelación de sonido jamás desde la app. Desactivé los controles por gestos y pasa de mí, sigue utilizando controles de gesto. El auricular izquierdo se pone en modo de AMBIENT AWARE de forma random y no hay manera de arreglarlo.
I purchased these because I originally had the JBL mini reflects and I loved them. These are by far the worst headphones I've ever purchased. I have changed the ear pieces several times trying to find a good fit, and cannot get them to stay in my ears with the smaller options, with the mediums, they hurt so badly I can hardly bare to wear them for an hour workout. They disconnect from my Bluetooth constantly and I'm having difficulty getting both headphones to charge consistently, while they're both in the charger. I would absolutely not recommend anyone buy these headphones.
I loved my reflect mini 2's, so tried these out when I broke my old pair. Took them on a long trail run and was super uncomfortable. These do not fit in your ear well (I comfortably work the small ear piece on the mini 2's). Felt like it was stretching out my outer ear and it went way too deep in my ear canal. Really had to take time to make them squeeze into my ears or they would fall out. Additionally noise canceling was super annoying/non functional if there was wind.
Left earbud does not work, very disappointed. Order directly from manufacturer you expect items items to work.
Has connection issues. Also the product comparison stated they were wireless charging and they aren't.
Bought two months ago. Right bud always loses its charge way faster than the left. Cleaned both well like in the instructions and still happens. The controls are complicated and not tuned well. Couldn't find any help in the app either. Awful headphones
