I have weird ears, they didn't look weird but headphones tend to fall out of them. I can sleep with these on. They are the most comfortable earbuds on the market atm. The anc is great and the sound is comparable to their big brother the xm4/5 though the anc is better in those models.
Rich, dimensional sound. And with Headphones Connect app, you can tailor the EQ specifically to your tastes.
I traditionally had not been an "earbuds" person. I often found them uncomfortable or poorly fitting, and as such hadn't used them in a long time, opting for over-the-ear style. However, the LinkBuds S changed my perspective on buds, and it all comes down to how light they are and how easily they go into your ear. Sony nailed it in this regard, and the comfort has removed my stigma on earbuds. Sound quality is great, but the standout feature for me is the Adaptive Sound Control for noise cancelling and ambient sound. The Headphones Connect app has a lot of features and settings adjustments to manipulate noise cancelling behavior based on what you're doing and where you are - and considering the mobility of the LinkBuds S, I found this to be a killer feature.
Excellent product. They fit in my ears perfect and sound amazing.
I bought this about a month ago to replace headsets for video conferencing. Sound quality is very good, especially with the open design. Connection is somewhat questionable, but if you are not too far from your computers, connection is generally stable. Tapping options are limited, and you can only set the options from phone application, and there are no options for laptops. Battery time is short, where continuous use gave me a little over two hours, then the right unit gave up. I have mixed feelings about this one. Most likely I will end up using it for one hour conference call, then put it back on the charger for next meetings
I bought these not knowing a lot about them, I should've done my homework. They are ok for the casual listener but I need my sound loud with equal bass and lows. I carry 2 phone and can't pair them to both phones. The controls are easy to operate and they stay in my ear so that's a plus.
Purchased these after losing my Bose pair. Unfortunately I'll be returning them after coworkers on conference calls said that the sound quality is poorer than before. I was looking to upgrade to a better quality, noise-cancelling pair but I found that these fall out of my ears more and they block less sound than my Bose pair. I'm happy with my Sony over the ear nose cancelling device though - so I though these might do the trick. Unfortunately I'm dissppointed.
I was incredibly happy with these earbuds for the first year - very comfortable, easily the strongest noise cancelling I've ever heard, great battery life, and the sound quality was fantastic. After about 11 months I started to hear weird wind noises when i used noise cancelling or ambient mode. I submitted a request for an exchange (which was approved by sony) but the problem went away a day later so I didn't send them back. Turns out that was a mistake, because 3 months later (past my warranty period) the problem returned and the noise cancelling and ambient modes completely stopped working - they only create wind noises. I still use these occasionally but only with NC/ambient turned off. I've seen plenty of experiences from others online with the same complaints so my guess is that there's some bad engineering in this model
After 1 year of light use, the left earbud can only hold a charge for 20 minutes.
These were decent earbuds for about a year and a half. The audio quality and microphone for calls was good. I chose these for the price and because they're smaller than a lot of other options (my ears are small). I had connection issues occasionally, but I was able to look past this for the price. However, 18 months in, they have suffered Sony's inevitable and premature earbud battery failure. The left bud will not fully charge and only lasts about 20 minutes. Because they were past the one year warranty, Sony offered me nothing. It's ridiculous that consumers are expected to invest in a new product every 18 months. Don't buy these -- it's a waste of money. Sony, please consider standing by your product and extending the warranty.
