It has quick read in just ten seconds and can be used for rectal, oral, and armpit. Also, it has a stopper with LED light makes tush temp checks worry-free. Plus, this is a flexible tip thermometer, perfect for children at all ages.

I tried it out on both the oral and under the armpit setting on me and my son and then followed up with my regular thermometer to check for accuracy. My son loved the light up digital display & I loved that it was so much faster than our old one. It has safety features to use rectally on a baby, but if I were to do that I would completely dedicate this thermometer to being a rectal thermometer despite the ability to clean it.

Such as the switch open I guess feature of the thermometer from rectal to oral and under arm. The part that got me was the LED light at the end for rectal. But very handy in a sticky situation. When first using the thermometer I had a difficult time getting it to switch from rectal to oral but once I figured it out it's a breeze taking the kids temperatures. Make sure that this is correct (oral, rectal or under the arm) for the most accurate temperature reading. The temperature seems to be accurate as well. I prefer these thermometers over the ones that scan the forehead.

This is very easy to use- the broad design just end of the silver top ensures you go just the right depth. I used it on my baby who was awake and alert. She didn't bat en eyelid and was very comfy. Always check with the rectal thermometer if the forehead shows fever. All new parents should have multiple of these around the house

The time it takes to get a reading is also a little longer than expected. I do however like the packaging, the “tush to the limit” printed one side of package is cute and funny.
