Haven't used yet, but so far love it. Received in perfect condition. Has lots of extras, like a pad to keep machine in place while sewing, lots of presser feet, and tools. Comes with very easy DVD that explains all the basics, how to thread, how to fill bobbin, how to use the different stitches. Well made. Will give update when I actually start using, but at this point would recommend. I am a real person, who purchased this machine.
Absolutely love this machine : bought as refurbished ; worked perfect right out of the box ; I tried all the stitches
Everything I thought it would be
I hadn't sewn for years and decided to sew again and I'm truly enjoying sewing with this machine. It's fast and easy to understand and I especially like the self threading feature. I highly recommend it!
I got this machine as a way to do quilting. It boasts being perfect for quilting, and while the machine is great for piecing and sewing in general ( far better than any mahine I have ever owned ), it just isnt adequate for free motion quilting. The throat space is way too small to fit even a table runner under comfortably and work on smoothly. There is no space to move your hands freely and it keeps you from getting into a good rhythm with your free motion quilting. You have to stop every few inches and reposition your right hand because moving the fabric a few inches to the right puts your hand right up against the side of the machine and restricts smooth movement. Everything else about this machine is wonderful, but with the limited throat space, it limits you as to how creative you can be with free motion quilting. If you are looking for a machine to do free motion quilting on, keep looking. They thought of every detail except for that specific one in the design of this machine. Iâve attached a photo to show how much space you get for your hand under the machine with a small crib size blanket.
First, it was arrived late. When I tried it, my fabric got stuck. Later, after I troubled shoot and fixed it, I tried the monogram function. The result didn't look good and looked different from the monogram done by another Brother machine. I would have loved to keep the machine but the performance was disappointing.
