LOVE!!!!! We have a 1970s home and window air conditioners never fit properly/ are a pain. This product was so EASY to install. Also it looks great!!! Love the design. I would definitely consider more new air products!
This is a great product. I Especially love the design and it's sleek modern look, but what's great about it is that it actually cools really really well! Definitely going to come in handy here is south Texas. It gets so hot!
Very good designed with machine only , not good for the window kit, the window kit need more than 2" to 4" inches width, the window kit can't fitted with the window, after installed with the big gap, you need tape some hard paper to made in fit to the window, please check the picture, if they're changed the window kit designed, made the width bigger, I would buy again!
I did a ton of research on portable ac units and this one came up pretty high. I needed it for about 10x12 small room in extremely hot garage! In South Carolina You really need a two vent pipe unit if you want real results My room had no window so I punch two holes in the outside wall, fitted external metal vents with grills and clipped on the pipes. So fresh air in and hot air out Works extremely well even in mid summer. Finally the room is usable (a gym) Havn't used the remote yet or dehumidifier mode. Takes 10 mins to get the room temp lower and is quietish For the money I would recommend
We like the temperature to be around 67 degrees when sleeping. However, we are the only ones downstairs, and there is no point in cooling or heating the entire house for just us. So, we use this AC/heater combo and put it in our room to maintain our desired temperature. It works perfectly for that. I also love that it's not as loud as other units we have tried. The cons: the window mounting plate was too big for our standard-sized window, so we had to cut it; the connectors sometimes have trouble staying connected to the exhaust tubes, so we duct taped them in place.
I adore this portable air conditioner! I really like how simple it was to install, how simple it was to use the remote control, and how strong the airflow was overall. The 12,000 BTU will undoubtedly cool down any space. My bedroom cooled down instantly, and I relished every second of it! It is a highly contemporary piece that would complement any interior design and is surprisingly quiet. The ability to quickly convert from using this as an air conditioner to just using it as a fan is a huge benefit! Overall, we are really pleased with this unit, and Newair has truly created a product that will benefit a large number of individuals who don't own standard air conditioning units. Those units are really pricey, so if they aren't in your current budget, this Newair 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner one will definitely work just as good if not better. The fact that it's portable and so simple to move about simply made me love it more-it was precisely what we needed for the space in our bedroom!
I'm very pleased with the color, design and overall quality of this portable AC. It's very simple to set up and easy to use. It goes well with my home decor and doesn't take a lot of space. It's impressively powerful, cooling off a room and reaching the desired temperature very quickly. Lightweight and with very smooth wheels, it can be easily moved from one place to another around the house. I like that it also has the fan only and dehumidify options. I'd highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a nice-looking portable AC that is reasonably priced and reliably effective.
I love everything about this particular unit. It was packaged well, extremely easy to get setup up and I feel like I could store raw meat in my office now if I wanted to, it's that effective. It is surprisingly quiet, they advertised it was, but I was still surprised by just how quiet it was. I got it for an office that has bad airflow to begin with and several PCs running basically all the time so it get very hot and stuffy in there. Being able to use this as a fan only, or easily switch to air conditioner is really nice as well. The window kit was intelligently designed and very easy to get set up. It also makes it very easy to remove and reinstall so I can still lock my windows at night and then easily reinstall it the next morning which is a big plus for me. Overall I couldn't be more happy with it, it is exactly what I needed for the space and works exceptionally well. I would choose this over a standard window unit any day. The fact that it is portable and easy to roll around is just an added bonus.
I have used several different portable AC units similar to this. What really sets this one apart is that it is more quiet than the ones I have used in the past. I also really like the sleek design for this. It is super easy to setup and use and if you can put it in an enclosed room it can make the entire room super cold. The air the comes out of this I have measured at about 51 degrees (that is when it was in a room that was 80 degrees).
The directions provided weren't the most clear - especially in trying to figure out how to put the sliding window panel together. It took me hours, and was frustrating. If there was a video on how to put this Newair model together that would've been super helpful. After finally figuring out how to put this together the sliding window panel unfortunately wasn't a perfect fit (there are some small openings). However, the A/C still works and my room is nice and cool during these hot days. Also, one of the two tubes has a small hole/perforation. It does not seem to affect the a/c performance, but I'm contacting Newair about this because this is a new and expensive device. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase despite the initial frustrations.
