Taste great and makes it in for a fast and easy inexpensive meal. I usually wind up make a side of spicy rice with it...!
These are great to have on hand. I like that they don't have onions or tomatoes in them and they aren't spicy. They don't seem to have much cheese at all, so I always add some shredded cheese on top when I microwave them. I like mine with sour cream, and my husband also adds Tapatio hot sauce to his. We always have these in the freezer for a quick bite.
I am mad at these burritos. You can never microwave them right. Plus, you aren't sure what is inside because they don't taste like much. The cheese must be on vacation. If you add stuff on top, they are better.
Will not be buying these again. Can't even eat them because they're so salty. Go back to original recipe!
I've always loved these bean %26 cheese burritos. Today, I ordered some in my delivery %26 the burrito package is labeled “more spices %26 cheese”. The recipe has changed %26 it's for the worse. Taste bland…just no flavor, like eating chili beans in a tortilla. Will not buy again, unless the recipe goes back
These burritos are not edible unless extremely hungry. after several years of trying them occasionally they just get worse than the last time I tried them. I'll throw the rest of them in the garbage
These just keep getting worse and worse... these used to taste great, but something changed and now they are very bland and they take at least twice as long to cook through.. that change happened during the pandemic about the same time the price of these nearly doubled. Recently they've changed again, the "tortilla" on every burrito is strangely flaky, falling apart, and WET, the underside of the burritos seem more like they're wrapped in a noodle. I've been disappointed with the flavor and the price of these El Monterey bean and cheese burritos for a couple of years, but this most recent change has made them just repulsive and inedible. I have been eating these for at least 30 years and I will not be buying them again.
These use to be my go to when craving burritos. The package stated they'd improved the recipe but they haven't. The filling was tasteless and I didn't find any cheese. Time to try a new brand.
Idk why but every time I buy these I get a stomach ache sometimes, randomly whenever I've bought these over the past years sometimes I get a stomach ache really bad from eating them. I'm lactose sensitive. I can't trust them anymore.
My kids absolutely loved these burritos and wamted them several times a week for months. On my last order the recipe had abruptly changed. The bag is labeled "spicier and cheesier" which happen to be two adjectives my kids hate. They won't eat these anymore due to the recipe change. My 4yo is an extremely picky eater and these were one of the few things he'd eat. I'm so disappointed he's lost yet another option when there's so little he would eat to begin with. This is the 3rd food product this year that we now have to stop buying due to recipe changes.
