I bought 2 months ago clarity of pictures very good (4K).
I first became familiar with your products whilst working in the monitored alarm systems in Sydney during the 80's...I have had one of your systems in my home for a decade; installed one in a mate's place in Sydney last year; & have just purchased another system for my son in Tucson...needless to say, I believe in the quality of your products! I had a analog system that I had purchased from a competitor 4 years ago, it worked ok, but not high definition enough, their mobile app would not connect since first week in dec 2019 , online support was good before when it lost connection, but after 20 hours on the phone with different people due to them blaming my phone company then it was my internet provider I was fed up. I upgraded to this system and ran my own CAT6 outdoor shielded 23ga wire and put on my own connecters. It took some time to do, but the results on my mobile phone and at my monitor are wonderful. Daylight view is crisp and audio is clear as a bell. Now I have piece of mind when I'm away again. The picture below is a night view snapshot, daytime is pretty near like being there.
The product is ok , i would not call the cameras 4k because the picture does not look 4k. The app is that connected to this device is ok but i do not get push notifications. There is room for improvement and i do believe it will be improved over time . I would still recommend it and i feel i will probably give it a higher rating once things are ironed out . Its very easy to installation i loved , the use of the DVR is sort of easy but the customer support is very good.
I have connected one camera to test the vison in day light, inside house, outside house, night vison before installation. The picture quality was not up to the mark of 4K. I have packed it back to the box and returned.
had this installed, whilst I fund the cameras to work well and as does the app. I find the whole reason as to why we install the cameras and pay for 4k is to be able to get the clarity especially when zooming in. So far I can zoom in to a number plate less than 20mtres across the road..these are 4k the 2mp hikvisiin cameras i had could. Really disappointed. I also find the user interface on the dvr to be quite difficult and not user friendly and haven't yet figured after much playing around how to download the footage to external storage. Ill lost certainly update and or change my review if one of your team members corrects me or shows me a setting that proves me wrong
Could not view when away from home network. I have 3meg 512kbs internet the only speed I can get due to distance. The system would not let me reduce bit rate of cameras.
This product does not do what it is advertised to do. The motion sensor push notification on the app do not work. We have done every so called fix and troubleshoot available. We've paid quite a bit of money for this unit and frankly, highly disappointed. How can you sell something and promote something that obviously does not work! As for the video footage, this is great, but only buy this unit if you don't want any alerts!
Only 2 cameras with 4k upscale resolution, 4 cameras ain't. PIR and Detection cannot be activated. Pedestrian detection defaulted to "disable" by supplier, other options not recording. Deterrent spotlight not working when defaulted schedule is changed. Sensitivity defaulted to 4, doesn't do anything if sensitivity number revised.
Installed in July 2021, Got everything set up and the endless notifications began. I would get over 100 a day. Attempted several adjustments on the set up menu, but this system does not do any of the things the menu says it will do. Called tech support and escalated to a tier 2 technician. He had me download software onto a laptop and connect it to the NVR. He remoted in and adjusted sensitivity settings, set up the privacy zones and updated the cameras. It seemed to help a little but still got way to many activations. I went back into set up and again adjusted the sensitivity of the cameras. Still tons of notifications. True Detect does not work!!!!! Picks up anything and everything that moves. Fast forward to Nov 2021, A new firmware update was done and it completely locked down the setup menu of the NVR. All of the previous setting that I could change would no longer work. Tried to adjust camera sensitivity, but it was grayed out and would not work. Tried to adjust the privacy zone, but it stated the cameras do not support that. No other adjustable setting worked anymore either. Called Tech Support and was advised the cameras in this system do not support any adjustment and never have. The firmware update updated it to grey our all adjustments because they never work anyways. He advised I could previously adjust them, but they didn't actually have any impact on the cameras. Unknown why the first tech support guy changed those settings if they didn't ever work or at least tell me the cameras never supported any adjustments in the first place. This system is just basic cameras that record without any fine tuning for your particular environment. They don't support any customization that the NVR says it will do. Don't waste your money on this system and go with another brand. Will be returning this system and going with a system that actually works
