We love these. Haven't used them in lasagna, but definitely and going to now!
No hidden non vegan products in this and it is delicious, easy to use in many dishes :) I like the Spicy one better. Price is right on these :)
we chop these up, and put in our Lasagna, and OH MY! taste so good!! reminds me and my husband of stufers Lasagna. highly recommended
I haven't had sausage sandwiches since I gave up eating meat, and these bring back good memories. They were so close to the sandwiches that I used to eat when I worked at the carnivals that I've been dreaming about them all week. Just nuke them for a minute or so, put them in hotdog rolls with peppers and onions, and a little mustard, and you're good to go. I'm putting these on my regular shopping list.
My family uses these just right but not too spicy sausages in big rolls for 4th of July with trimmings (or any time), cut in coins with spaghetti, so good with eggs, goes with just about any sauteed veggies. Top chili or Mexican beans with it, zings up the flavor. The ingredients are healthier than many veg meat alternatives, too. Vital wheat gluten and tofu are excellent protein sources Not super "processed", no engineered ingredients.
I used to use beyond sausage but this is so much better, and a better price point! We use in Lasagna Soup and Zuppa Toscana. 🙌🏻
firstly this doesn't taste like meat based sausage so if you're looking for a perfect alternative, this isn't it. however these are really delicious. they have a texture similar to tofu and a really nice herby sun-dried tomato flavor. great addition to pastas
Pretty good actually I'm not 100% vegan but I'm heading there but my wife and I had split the package we put them in some avocado oil and let them get crispy on each side put it in a hot dog bun with some vegan Mayo and bbq sauce and we had some sweet chili Doritos we both rated it a 8/10 we would buy it again but it's pretty hard to find them at Walmart in our area but it had a little spice to them but I wish they had a spicer one tho I love me some heat
On its own this doesnt really taste like sausage. BUT it is somewhat edible so I could see it being "ok" if it is part of something else like chili or a stirfry or something that can make its flavor less relevant.
So I tried it, and have to say I got through two bites, and that was it. I know it's not sausage, but it's not even close. Just doesn't taste good ... at least not to me. I tried their deli slices, and they were better. I think they're going to have to go back to the drawing board on the sausage.
