Arrived in good condition. This is our first new TV in 25 years. We bought a Sony because the old one lasted so long. We bought this model because it has a refresh rate of 120 vs. 60 and was on sale for $200-300 less than its original price -- probably because it is the 2022 model. We are senior citizens with moderate technical skills. We unpacked and set it up ourselves - on a stand. The printed instructions were worthless. (Enough with pictures. Words please! I'm literate.) We only have free over-the-air reception, so can't speak to cable or satellite set-up. We are using the same antenna from the old TV and had no issues with getting plenty of channels. We didn't connect to Google and have only used YouTube from the HOME screen. Sound is fine for basic TV. For music video or movies you'd probably want a sound bar. Overall, we are satisfied with the purchase at this point. For us, the definitive test is the test of time.
picture is nice. biggest let down is, it signs you into your google account, to collect your info, nothing more. you can only use sony's app store. very, very limited apps to use! you want iheartradio? nope, sorry. only pandora is available. what's the point in making me sign into google if i cant even use the google playstore to get apps? oh.....to collect my info, that's right.....moreover, how does a tv remote have a dedicated Netflix button but not have it preinstalled on the tv? im disappointed in the app options, or should i say, lack there of. signing into Google, is pointless, for your benefit. how is it called a google tv, if you cant use google to get your apps? lol. what are the benefits, for the user, to stay logged into google, with this particular tv? there are none. its just to collect your personal info and what you are watching, to personalize the ads. the branding of this being a google tv, is very misleading.
got ours was fine for a couple months now it has done nothing but cut off randomly. flat out ridiculous for what ove paid for
The TV was crashed when it got to my apartment. I had to return it.
