i got my basket just before the pandemic..used it once and i LOVE it..can't wait to go shopping..it was very easy to install..now im riding in style..
I got this basket 2 years ago, and remember all the problems getting it functional. Had to use a hacksaw to cut the heavy L-shape bar from 24"x16", all the way down to 12"x8". Threw away the velcro strap and replaced with a plastic zip-tie, and use an 18" bungee cord to hold the basket closed when not in use. Also bent the wire loops that hang the basket on the crossbar, down snug so the basket doesn't slide off the bar. After all that, the basket has actually been trouble-free and useful! But with all the problems people have with this basket, it should be half the price.
Nice basket fits neatly on back of my power chair (or a scooter). It will fold flat to save room when not in use and can be lifted of the mounting pole if so desired. My only complaint is I wished it was a little larger for going on those bigger shopping outings with family and friends, but as it is, it is great for small grocery shopping and errands.
Have not used it yet, appears to be fine, could be bigger, installed easy. Should be ok
Needed extra space for groceries. Does not go with my scooter but I made it work.. My scooter is a Pride.
I wish it would have had instructions with it. now I want a cup holder and a front basket.
I tried to install it just by the picture on website. But everything I tried the Basket wobbles all over the place. There are several knobs that are suppose to screw in someplace or another but they do not fit anything. The concept is good. But you cannot use a basket that flies all over the place when in motion.
Well constructed but poorly engineered. The Velcro strap that is supplied to keep the basket from slipping off the top bar is so inferior it is hard for me understand why it was included. I should have returned the product but was determined to improvise a better solution. I had some chain leftover, so I cut two pieces of #16 Jack chain and attached to corner of basket and attached to the clamp that was supplied for the strap. In addition, the short leg of the L bar is difficult to install into the square tubing under the seat. I had to use rubber mallet and oil to insert.
Not very sturdy. Poor design. Sent all the components to a welder-friend and had him completely rework it.
Way too big and clumsy to maneuver in store aisles. Mine is presently being used as a dirty laundry basket.
