This is my favorite shape and size of all VB purses and so glad to see it in a solid color. I bought it for a trip to London (cancelled!), but it will be useful anywhere. Like other commentators, I don't care for the metallic zip, but figure a few swipes with a bar of soap will help.
The Iconic RFID Little Hipster remains one of my favorite Vera purses. It's just the right size for traveling, shopping, or going to parks. It holds all your essentials and has easy access to the front area which replaces a wallet. I have about 10 different patterns and am very pleased with the addition of RFID to the credit card area.
The two little hipsters recently purchased, are numbers 6 & 7 in my Vera collection! The front area holds bills, cards & driver's license! When worn crossbody, with one zip, credit card or bills are accessible! The middle zippered compartment holds cellphone and checkbook! The back flap pocket has a magnet that once stuck to my washer when passing by! It is a serious magnet! If I could own one in every color, I would! Love the hands free safety this small bag provides!!
Only negative that I have is that I wish the zipper to the side compartment was a big longer so as to make it easier to get into the slots where you get to your cards and licenses. It use to be longer!! I carry this every day and this has caused me to accumulate less in my purse now. Love it!!!
This is my favorite Vera style and I've had several now. I love all the organization pockets in this bag eliminating the need for a separate wallet. My only complaint is the front zipper is shorter than older versions and I find that more limiting when trying to find cards. Please make the zipper longer again on future versions of this bag.
Love the RFID feature. No longer have to fret over someone capturing my info. The Hipster is comfortable over the shoulder, doesn't get caught in my hair. The power charger feature is huge! Love this feature! I would have liked one more compartment or pocket in the inside so I could separate some things.
I have this purse in another color and really liked it, so I bought it in black so I could wear it with anything. My other purse had a strong magnet on the outside pocket that kept my cell phone easy to reach and secure, and this one does not. That is my only disappointment with this bag, so I bought a Velcro dot and put that on the pocket.
I have over a dozen Vera Bradley bags, all purchased for their organizational attributes...this bag is very lacking. I love the outside zip compartment for cards and money, but hate the big metal zipper :( The inside holds quite a bit but there is no organization pockets, adding holders for glasses, etc just takes up unnecessary space and adds weight (I had to insert a pouchee to make up for the lack of pockets). I like the width of the strap, it stays on my shoulder. The other reviews pointing out the lack of a magnetic closure on the outside pocket are correct, my phone slides out very easily. I prefer a smaller bag but have a few items I must carry, the size of this bag is good, buy the lack of interior pockets so usual for Vera's products makes it difficult.
I have loved the Little Hipster in the past. However, I do not like the current model of the Little Hipster. The zipper on the front wallet portion of the purse does not open all the way around. It starts half way up and ends half way up and makes it difficult to access.
The lining the bag I was using was tearing, so I decided to order a replacement. I was not impressed when I received the new style hipster. The shoulder straps are smaller, the Vera Bradley nameplate is now a rubber tag that is barely sewn on instead of the silver plate it was previously, and the outer RFID pocket zipper is chunky and bright silver as opposed to the small, black style on my other bag. I love the bag, as it's perfect for what I need, but I am not impressed with the "improvements" they made. Please bring back the old style.
