very nice....more beautiful than in the pictures. Only problem is right after I got it I noticed it got stuck when the hour hand met with the minute hand. Not a big deal...just had to exert very light pressure upwards to bend the hour hand out so they wouldn't meet and get stuck....happens with all wall clocks like this. Looks beautiful outside !
This clock looks lovely on my patio and is just what I had been looking for. It's attractive and great value for the price. I initially thought it was faulty, the hands would just stop at random times, but I gently removed them, applied a tiny amount of WD40 to the spindle and that has done the trick, it's kept perfect time since then. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
The Springfield Palm Tree outdoor clock and thermometer is a very pleasant decoration on our patio and barbeque area. It is water-proof, so leaving it outdoors is not a problem. The cool tropical teal color with the bronze trees and sun are very easy on the eyes. And you can not beat the price. A great choice.
I chose this clock for the palm trees and sun motif. The green is not quite the right shade, but it will do. I was so excited when I saw it because it fits my theme. However, the trees make it somewhat difficult to see the hands of the clock and you need to look hard to see the time. Also, my previous clock was smaller, where the thermometer is on this one and vice versa. Not a big deal but I didn't think of it when ordering or realize how important it is to see the temperature from the kitchen window. It was a great value, nonetheless, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone, just be aware of the shortcomings. It blew off the fence on a windy day and it still works fine.
I really like the clock but had a hard time seeing the hands - so I painted the black hands a really bright yellow and now I can tell time from all over my patio !!!!
very nice decorative clock - the hands are hard to see if you are far away - but I can easily read it while in the pool from the deck so it works for me-I have seen this in other stores for a lot more - exceptional value
the clock is just what i was expecting.the overall look is good and at a value this gardner needs.
This is the second one of these clocks I purchased for my patio within a month. The first one was purchased from Amazon and worked well for 3 weeks then the clock stopped and started with a few taps. It became inaccurate so when I saw this one I tried another one. The same thing happened again after 24 hours. Although this time after tapping the back of the clock it started working and has worked for about two weeks. (Fingers Crossed) I called Springfield Instruments the manufacturer of the item and they sent me two replacement movements for the clock should it fail again. As long as it keeps working it's an attractive piece for a patio. The thermometer seems accurate to a degree or two so overall I am satisfied.
The clock is really thin. It's hard to see the minute hands against the palm trees. It's nice looking and the thermometer is easier to read than the other clock we had. Its ok if your not far away from it.
The process of ordering on line and delivery to the store was perfect. However, the product itself did not work. It never kept the correct time and after resetting numerous times it was returned to the store for refund. Also, the hands of the clock were hard to see and read.
