I love the usb charging port, since I bought this as a carry on and have it with me during long layovers. I put my largest battery in it and running out of power is never an issue! I love how it stands on its own, the wheels work so well, and I can fit a lot for such a small bag. My husband now has luggage jealousy!
I purchased this bag to fit on a CRJ-200 and it turns out it is about half an inch too big to allow the bin to close. It also turns out that the corporate policy of the regional operator of United Flights from my home airport (Air Wisconsin) is to not allow bags with wheels in the cabin. Overall, this bag lives up to the quality standards, but external factors give me a little bit of buyers remorse.
I have not yet had the chance to actually travel with the luggage yet but there were two attributes that were different from what I expected. 1) Shape. In the photos the bag looks to be more in the shape of a rectangle, in reality the bag is more in the shape of a square. I'm not sure if this will make a big difference in terms of getting it to fit in the overhead. The dimensions listed on the website are accurate but the photos are misleading. This bag is much more short and wide than the other carry-ons that I have had 2) Battery: There is no integrated battery system included in the product. Again, this is a bit mis-leading as Travel Pro states "Dedicated pocket holds power bank for connection to external USB Port." They don't tell you that you have to go out and buy the power bank battery separately. (and they are expensive) All I actually got for this feature is a cheap USB cord that is threaded through the fabric of the bag and terminates in a side pocket. In and of itself, that feature is pretty useless. This may be a blessing in disguise since at the time that I purchased this online, several airlines had already stated that they banning luggage with built-in phone chargers or tracking devices due to concerns that lithium ion batteries in so-called "smart bags" could cause a fire Other than these two things the bag seems to be high quality. I'm interested to see how well it holds up over time. I especially like the wheels, and the large easily accessible pocket on the front that can fit my large MacBook Pro laptop and iPad at the same time, so that the Backpack I am also carrying becomes much lighter on those long walks through the airport to catch a connection or get to/from a gate.
