I have only been using this cream for a week, but I already see results. I am following your clear instructions to apply ONLY to the under eye area. I immediately feel a slight tingling, which assures me it is doing its work. That sensation is gone within a minute or two. It seems other reviewers are not following your application directions. Please do not discontinue this product. I will definitely continue to use it.
I bought this product to help the bags and darkness under my eyes. I used this product for 2 weeks, being very cautious around my eyes. I gradually experienced a "gritty" feeling in my eyes. Thinking it was the Cpap machine, I wore a sleep mask with no help. I stopped using the cream and the pain went away.
I bought this product and ever since my first use i have been feeling a burning sensation under my eyes amd wherever i apply it. I stopped using it amd when i went back to using it the same thing happened every time. I was so excited about this product.
Purchased this product and used it once. I didn't have a burning sensation although it was more akin to a 'warm' feeling. I woke up the next day to find my eyes swollen with a rash surrounding the lower part of my eye and continuing down into my cheeks. It took 3 days to go away, with a hydrocortisone cream from the dermatologist!
Not a fan of this eye cream. I feel like it actually causes puffiness and irritation instead of decreasing puffiness and provides no moisture. It also pills and doesn't work well with other products. I would not repurchase or recommend.
I bought this a few days ago and everytime I applied it I felt a burning sensation that I thought would go away. When I woke up I had red swollen eyes and had to walk around like that over campus. Really disappointed in aveeno thought they could do brtter
I just started using eye cream last month, and I was getting good results with the product I was using, but I left it at home while traveling and decided to try this as a replacement. I was actually kind of excited about it, since it was on a list of effective and inexpensive eye creams published by a beauty reviewer that I trust, and I love smearing new and interesting goops on my face. This is a goop I would have been better off without. I applied it as directed to only my under-eye area that night and, after a minute, noticed a prickly, stinging, burning sensation; it wasn't unbearable, and I could ignore it after a little while, but it definitely didn't feel good. I thought maybe I had irritated my eye with eye-makeup remover, which has never happened before, but I got the same Tabasco-y results when I reapplied in the morning, and concluded that, sadly, it was my brand-new eye cream that I really wanted to like. I got a new replacement eye cream and, like my old faithful eye cream at home, there was zero stinging or burning. Thank God I didn't try this product first, or I might have thought it was normal for anti-aging eye creams to hurt. Adding insult to injury, this was the most expensive of the products I've tried by a solid 20%. To be clear, I do not have particularly finicky skin. I have used tons of products that can irritate more delicate skin and nothing has ever made a dent until this. If it can get through my elephant hide, I shudder to think what this could do to someone with truly sensitive skin.
I have been trying to get rid of dark circles and minor lines under my eyes. I used this product as directed, and it actually burned my skin. I now have extremely red, dry skin under my eyes that I am not sure how to fix. I actually can see the skin flaking off, and the lines are more prominent. Having used other Aveeno products in the past, I was extremely surprised and disappointed with the results of this product.
I bought this because I wanted to reduce fine lines and puffiness under my eyes. It is a smooth cream that absorbs well into my skin, however after putting it on it causes my skin to burn for a few minutes. I tried it on several times and it always results in a burning skin sensation. I have not been noticing any changes to my under eye puffiness or fine lines and due to the skin irritation, I am not sure if it is causing more harm than good.
I bought this a couple months back and started having some kind of bad skin reaction to it. I had to stop using everything for a few weeks then slowly introduced certain eye products back. After three applications my eyes swelled, skin burned, and then scaled over. It will take a week or more to get back to normal. Looks like others experienced the same.
