I have purchased 4 of these wonderfully handy bowls. I use mine to mix cakes, biscuits, cookies, for whipping potatoes with hand mixer, making party mix in microwave, storing foods in refrigerator & much, much more! It is the perfect size for mixing/stirring most dishes. It holds up well in top rack of dishwasher. My only warning would be, do not press very hard on inside bottom. I cracked 2 of my bowls in doing so, (one while trying to "cut" block of cream cheese in half with side of metal spoon.) I plan to purchase several more of these in case Walmart ever discontinues them.
I needed a big bowl for mixing and serving popcorn in. I couldn't ask for a better bowl for these purposes. It is a lovely color of red, and has the perfect contours for hand tossing my popcorn all around allowing me to spray light butter flavored spray on it with a consistent even spray. Then I am able to add either salt or seasoning and get perfect even coverage. And the best news.... All for under 2 bucks!!! I am stoked!
When I was looking at the Rachel Ray Trash Bowl I happened upon this one The RR bowl sells for about $20, this one was about $3. Much larger too. Excellent bowl for that purpose and counless other uses in the kitchen. Not as heavy duty as a stainless bowl but that can't be expected. Glad I choose this bowl in stead of the much smaller and pricy RR bowl.
