We bought this lamp for a few indoor plants that require a nice amount of sunlight during the winter. You have to buy the bulb separately. We got a 65 watt GE plant light bulb and it has worked great. It also looks nice, does not look cheap at all. It is also like a heat lamp, the heat does not damage the surface of the lamp. The clamp is very strong too. Very nice for the price.

Lamps were great for the price, I don't think you could find this product any cheaper than this, it is very well made and for heavy duty uses the only draw back is it doesn't have a on and off switch, I would gladly pay extra for that. One last thing walmart needs to do a better job packing these items for shipping, both domes rims were slightly bent from shipping.
This is fine for growing plants, using LED bulbs in pairs. Bright and not too hot. Much more expensive from other sources.
The lamp is ok for what it is, a utility light that you might usually keep in the garage. the reflector seems kinda soft and extremely easy to dent or bend if you drop it or otherwise ding it. Electrically it seems rather heavy duty enough, ceramic socket base, heavy gauge three pronged cord... My only complaint is there is no switch on this lamp, and the product picture on the website shows the reflector to be smooth. Whereas in fact, it is heavily ridged from the base to the rim, for re-enforcement.
The reflector is so thin that it is barely above aluminum foil and the clamp will not hold the light horizontal with a 250W bulb in it. I was very disappointed. I will be returning all the units. It would work fine to hang vertically in a protected area. Walmart does have the best price that I could find for this product.
