I HAD A CHI IRON THAT I LOST THAT I WAS LOOKING TO REPLACE WITH THIS STRAIGHTENER. IT WAS PRICED AROUND FORTY DOLLARS, SO I FIGURED IT MUST BE WORTH THE MONEY. AND THE BACK OF THE BOX COMPARES IT TO AND SAYS IT IS EXACTLY LIKE A CHI, EXCEPT THE CORD IS A LITTLE SHORTER. WELL IT TAKES THIS STRAIGHTENER WHAT SEEMS LIKE FOREVER TO HEAT UP. IT PULLS YOUR HAIR OUT WHEN YOU USE IT. IT DOES NOT STRAIGTEN FAST. YOU HAVE TO KEEP GOING OVER THE SAME HAIR AGAIN AND AGAIN TO GET A DECENT, NON FRIZZY LOOK. I HAD A WHITE AND GOLD PLATED 3 INCH REVLON THAT WAS HALF THE PRICE AND WORKED WAY BETTER. BUT IF YOUR SPOILED BY A CHI IRON, THIS STRAIGHTENER PROBABLY WOULDNT IMPRESS YOU. I SAY JUST SPEND THE HUNDRED FOR A CHI AND GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH. I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY CHI AND IT WORKED AMAZING.
I have very curly and frizzy hair. I needed a new straightener and decided to buy this one. It's as if it is made only for straight hair. I definitely do NOT recommend this product!
I have really difficult hair to style. This burned my hair and took three times longer than my old straightener, a Conair, which lasted two years and was the quickest and best one I have ever used. When I went to Walmart to buy a new one, they were sold out. I saw that the Revlon compared itself to Chi. I thought why not since I love Chi, just hate the price tag. My Revlon straightener is the worst one I have ever used. It doesn't even straighten my hair, it always leaves my natural waves in and fried my hair. I used it once and it is just sitting unused.
I have very thick, curly hair. I had straighted my hair the day before with another iron. So I was just touching up some spots to try this. And it barely got hot, and didn't even do anything to the little wave. My son has short (growing it out) wavy hair. He didn't like it either. He was very tempted to dig the old one out of the bathroom garbage! Don't bother buying this one.
When I saw this product at Walmart I thought "Oh this is perfect" because I have very hard manageable hair. So I bought it. The next day I straightened my hair with this and it did absolutely nothing! Don't ever get this! Trust me you will regret it!
