Good value for the money. Tastes great!
We love this beef jerky because the pieces are uniform sizes so there aren't arguments over who got more. The uniform sized pieces also help with our portion control--no guessing how many calories we've eaten. In addition, the pieces don't get stuck in our teeth like regular jerky. The taste is great, too!
This jerky is kippered beef. Which basically means ground beef shaped and flavored to look like traditional whole muscle jerky. This type of jerky is often found in the jerky "sticks" you can buy at a gas station for a dollar(ish). I don't understand how Matador (Jack Links) has the ability to call this jerky when it's not. The flavor however, is good and the reason I gave two stars instead of one. It's a lot smokey a bit sweet and bit tangy without having overwhelmingly saltiness. it has a nice balanced smokey flavor. In the end I'm disappointed that I paid $4 for a bag of beef jerky when in really what I received are kippered beef medallions. (ground beef in ovals made to look like jerky) that I could have paid a dollar for at the store. I was expecting whole muscle jerky for this price.
