My son loves the watch. The Cell Phone contract was easy to administer with my carrier. I love the safety that affords. I find him enjoying the games and interaction Xplora has. Reliable battery and great graphics compared to his last watch which didn't have hardly any of the features. Worth the extra to get this one!!
Setup The setup went pretty smooth just make sure you understand setting up service for the SIM and setting up the watch with App is two different steps. Also make sure you update to the latest firmware and allow the watch to connect to the satellite if the watch does not show the right time. I have not been able to figure out how to set the time manually. Use Took my kids less than 5 minutes to learn. They love the ability to call mom, dad , friends and grandparents. The strap is quite long/big, so my 7 year old has to wear the watch fully tightened. Safe zones are great so you know that your child is within the zone you have set up and get a warning if they move outside. Battery runs out fairly quickly, so you have to charge every night, as long as you make it a routine it is ok. Charging is with a standard cable, ideally I would like an easier charging option, but I think that is coming with Xploras latest watch. Quality My kids have used the watch for 2 months now, the watch still looks new and all functions work as intended.

My kids LOVE their watches! Now I get play by plays as they're getting picked up for their after school programs 😂 but I love it! Only hiccup is that every now and then it says there's a error with an action but you only need to restart! And you'll only be able to use the phone chips that came with the watches if you want to give them their own individual watch lines. I made the mistake of thinking I could add them to my T-Mobile account and I COULD but they're forced to add them to a preexisting number. Turns out T-Mobile is already partnered with Xplora to give the kids their own line. Side of that we LOVE THEM! Ohh and they could be a little louder!
The signal keeps dropping and the software takes at least 5 to 10 minutes to update the location. Most of the time it's not accurate. The most useful feature is calling.
This watched worked very well for about 3 weeks. Zero issues with very accurate GPS. Then all of the sudden it started saying that the watch was off or out of network. I can't call, I can't text, I can't use the gps to track. Occasionally my daughter can still make calls but it is rare. Complete waste of money (and of course out of the 30 day return window). Do not recommend.
the setup is terrible I tried for over 3 hours to activate the SIM card only to find out that the SIM card they provide is inactive T-Mobile AT%26T and Metro by T-Mobile all do not support any of these watches they only use the T-Mobile towers no one could help set the watch up because they're locked. so I had to return both of the watches that I just bought last week.
not worth the wasted time and effort to try to get this watch to work you have to jump through all kinds of hoops and still can't get it to work. I hade to return both of these devices. so sad for my kiddos they didn't get them for their birthday.
Calling feature didn't work. Returned and ordered through Xplora website. Still had the same problem and they were a pain to deal with and I had to ask 10x to get return label. Don't buy this watch
I bought this watch as a Christmas gift for my daughter from this 3rd party company on Walmart's site. I tried to activate it with Xplora but it would not activate. After the very slow response time from their email only customer service which take days between messages and upon finding phone numbers already in the watch we determined the watch was used and linked to another phone. In conclusion, they were not able to activate the watch. I contacted this company and they were unwilling to exchange the watch even though I had informed them they sold me a used watch.
