I love this !!!! I live in an apartment and I go to the gym a lot but I wanted something to do at home when I am watching TV that was small enough for my little apartment. I have had it for a few weeks now and I have been using it a few hours every day when I am sitting on the couch watching TV. I have lost 5 pounds so far and my legs are getting leaner and very nice!!! I am so glad I got this! Why not sit and watch TV and work out at the same time in the comfort of your own home! It's built though and was very easy to put together.
I am unable to walk/run because of my feet and a hereditary problem with them. I want to be active and get back into shape. I don't have room for a full size piece of equipment and this strider has accomplished exactly what I needed. If my knees are bothering me, I can get the workout sitting down, similar to a recumbant bike. I am able to sit/stand and burn 500+ calories all while watching TV in the comfort of my own home.
This is a great little machine. Its perfect for my apartment. You can work out by standing up which is like an elliptical with no arms or by sitting which is like a recumbent bike. Standing is a little harder until you get a feel for it but i keep a chair in front of me for balance. The seated position is awesome if you just want to relax and watch tv on the couch. Either way its a great workout and the machine is super quiet.
I purchase this because I thought its good for small appartment we live in. I have no regret I used it every day I put just beside our bed so ready to used everyday and my hubby put it together, its easy to used. I love gold gym product..durable, good quality for a great price.
my husband had a total knee replacement and this product has been very important on his road to recovery. Physical therapy is painful but worth it. We highly recommend.
Very easy to use, and very easy to put together. The instructions for assembly were very plain and simple. I've only had it for a week, so obviously no big results, but it definitely works the leg muscles, which is what I was looking for.
I have always had issues getting up and going to the gym. Changing clothes and going is the battle, once there I am fine. Usually what happens is I end up never going, but still have to pay due to gym contracts. So, this time I looked into something for my home. I didn't want anything big, because I also had a large piece of equipment go to waste as well in the past. smh. A LOT of money has been wasted. I had the Gold's Gym mini stepper before I had this. I wasted money on that too, because it was kind of hard to do and my joints were in pain after a while. Finally, I decided on this. At the gym, ellipticals were always my go to machines, easier on the joints than steppers and not as boring as the treadmills. So, I bought this and it's GREAT. It is small enough for my small condo living, VERY quiet above the heads of my neighbors, and easy on the joints. YOU are not in pain. I think it is because it slides on a wheel similar to inline skating! The resistance is adjustable. It is easy to find the motivation to use this machine....it is right in my living room, so I watch ALL my favorite shows and workout after work. So, it is the best of BOTH worlds. No fighting for a machine like at a gym, no wiping off other people's nasty germs, risking illness. I plan to move at the end of this year, and I am happy this piece will be easy to load up and go compared to a full sized elliptical. The foot pedals are nice and big. My feet arent huge, but it gives the feel of a full sized elliptical and more than half the price! Im looking forward to losing the 15lbs I gained once I quit the gym!!!! :) You really work up a SWEAT on this thing and you can easily pedal fast or slow. I use the Gold's Waist Trim belt with this and I have seen results already!!! :)) CONS: -It can be a little heavy to move around compared to a ministepper. -the digital timer doesnt light up. Sometimes it is hard to see in the evening. - could use a bar, dumbbells, or resistance bands to work your arms I have decided I am going to buy dumbbells to tone my arms while a use this elliptical
I've not had this very long so I do not know how well it will stay together. It appears to be well made and gives a good workout. I generally use a treadmill, but I wanted something different. The size makes it handy, it is a little heavy and I move it about carefully.
It was nice but the stride is so short so it can feel awkward. Unfortunately mine started making a weird noise. Everytime you pedal it makes sort of a whirring noise. Warranty was only 3 months so that didn't help... If I had to do it again, I would invest in something better but hindsight is 20/20 right
I used the Gold's Gym Compact Strider for 2 days and began having problems with the machine shortly there after. I returned the machine and purchased a Gold's Mini Stepper. I Love the new machine!!!! I have not had any problems with the Mini Stepper.
