The vacuum feature makes this the best beard trimmer I've ever owned. As long as you regularly empty the tray, you will have no mess to clean up when you are through. I've had one for about 10 years, and another (in an apartment) for four years. I've never had a problem with either of them.
The unit head feels cheap and probably will not last. It is much nosier than the Norelco I had and does not trim as well.
