I was an avid user of the Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil and completely distraught when I found out it was discontinued. I tried other cleaners but nothing compared to the oil. Then I saw the Universal Cleansing Balm and decided to give it a try. I really wasn't expecting to be so happy with it, but boy, this stuff is amazing! First of all, it smells divine. I loved the way the rose cleansing oil smelled, but this balm smells so much better. It has a beautiful citrus smell. I normally don't like scented facial products, but the smell is coming from Bergamot and Sweet Orange Essential oils, so they are natural (and just so happen to be my two favorite essential oils). The texture of this balm is lovely and feels so nice on my skin. It scoops out almost like a thinner vaseline, but literally melts onto your skin. It easily removes my makeup, although I don't wear a lot of makeup. I also haven't tried it with waterproof mascara so I'm not sure how it would perform with that. It rinses off easily and leaves my skin so so soft and moisturized. My skin runs on the dry side so this balm is perfect for that, and will be great for when the dreaded winter dryness sets in. The coolest thing about this cleansing balm is that there are so many uses for it. There was a small booklet in my package that told you other ways to use it. It can be used as a moisturizer, shave cream, a deodorant, a scalp treatment and you can even mix it with clay and use it as a facial mask! This completely replaces the Rose Cleansing Oil for me and I'm so glad I gave it a shot. This will be my go to cleanser from now on.
To be honest I wasn't sure what to do. My staple oil cleanser was about to run out and it was on back order. I was watching mad about skin on you tube where Rob was reviewing US based companies and he raved about your DERMA-E cleansing balm....so I took a chance and ordered it. I love it. Cleans well, rinses clean. Will buy again. Worth every penny!! Also...can anyone tell me why this smells like bubblegum to me?
I use this to wash my face, arms and legs. It makes my skin feel so clean and moisturized. I have extremely sensitive skin and have had no problems with the ingredients in this product. I love it!
Oh my, is this a great moisturizing product.. I gave some to my daughter to help remove her makeup and she loved it. Much better then using petroleum jelly to remove eye makeup. Does not break out her skin either but for me...My skin is so over the top dry. This is great in that it adds moisture to mature skin not over stripping. It can be used everyday. Love it..
A few months ago I switched to Derma-e. I loved the products, but was somewhat disappointed because the line of products I had previously used offered a cleansing balm and I really liked how it removed makeup. I was excited when this balm came out, ordered it ASAP and I was not disappointed! I love the smell! I love the feel, how easily it washes off and how glowy my skin is!!!
I use this product nightly to remove any makeup but also just to remove the grime of the day. It has honestly changed my life. I used to suffer really bad with acne and this helps my face stay so clear!
I think it's the best thing I've ever used to wash my face. It makes my skin so soft and really glowy. I' ve been searching years for a product to give me an all day glow like this. I' ve never been able to get that with other cleansers, moisturizers, or makeup. Typically my skin would break out with anything moisturizing and dry out and become dull with gel cleansers.
I was very excited to try this but I feel like it is more cumbersome to use then helpful. I dont know how I feel about the ointment like consistency and massaging it in. I feel like a regular cleanser is best for me. Did not cause irritation and was relatively easy to remove. Didn't blow me out of the water but will continue to use since I got two.
This is such an interesting product, I have never used anything like this before. I use it to take my makeup off before cleansing. I thought it would be more of a milky effect when I added water but it wasn't as much as I thought. It doesn't feel like it takes my makeup off but it clearly does. I love the scent and the concept of the balm is something I want to get used to. I have sensitive acne prone skin and it does not irritate it, if anything it soothes it.
I was a huge fan of the nourishing rose cleansing oil, which has been discontinued. I decided to try this universal cleansing balm. After using it for a couple of weeks, I can't rave about it. There's nothing wrong with it, I just don't enjoy it as much as my discontinued favorite. I'll keep checking around to find one I really like again.
