After a stressful period of time, during which I didn't properly care for my 4C hair, I experienced terrible breakage. Just running my fingers through my hair caused it to rain down into my bathroom sink like I was getting a trim. After surviving such a stressful work situation, a new stressor emerged - I was losing my hair. I'd used individual Olaplex products before but never the whole series due to the cost. This time I was desperate however. I bought every product from the pre-treatment spray (number zero) to the post-treatment leave-in (number eight). After weekly treatments for 6 weeks, I could see a noticeable improvement: my breakage virtually stopped! It's important to note that I used a heating/steaming cap with each conditioning treatment except number zero. I also kept each one on for a minimum of 15 minutes and most for 30 minutes. This of course meant about a four hour wash/conditioning day (probably longer but binge watching my favs helped). Seeing my delicate 4C hair restored to health was worth the time and effort. These products worked, but I had to work them. Don't sleep on using the whole series, extra time, and the heating/steam cap to get results. That was my experience at least. Olaplex products are quite expensive, but Walmart occasionally has deals. Look out for these because they're much cheaper than Amazon - if you can catch them. The hair restoration experience was a steep investment of time and money that I would gladly make again. The bigger lesson is to never neglect my hair like that again in the first place. I also learned this: never sacrifice my crown for clowns; they aren't worthy of it.
These Olaplex products are fantastic! They help nourish my dried out hair and cost a few dollars less than in salons
