I do not need to see activities or any other display on my band because the UPS 24 with the app on my phone I can set it to alert me for any goal, or a reminder of falling short on my goal with a buzz to the band. Measures hours of sound sleep and other sleep patterns. Trend tracking, healthy choice recipes, shows fat and salt content by just scanning the bar code of food, fiber, good nutrient content. But best of all was learning how little of exercise that I was getting daily and weekly. I am now motivated to reach my daily walking goal and am reminded if I have sat an hour at my desk without getting up to move around. More sleep and more exercise with mindful healthier snacks has reduced my medication, I am more alert during the day and have more energy.
This band is VERY accurate. I've counted my steps multiple times in different settings and it is incredibly accurate. In less than 3 weeks I've lost ten pounds, sleep better (it tracks sleep, too) and am motivated to get moving. It lasts about 7 days between charges. My mom and my wife bought one, too and they love them as well. There are many apps to sync with it if you want to track calories and other things. I wear it on my ankle when I bike ride. And on clearance for $50, you can't do much better. I've read many other reviews comparing Fitbit and this and most like this one better - and I couldn't care less who is actually found to be better but I love mine. Not saying there might not be problems in the future, but 3 weeks in it has worked for me!!!
I have been very pleased with the style, comfort, and results of the Jawbone UP24 Fitness Band. It has exceeded my expectations. The UP App is great and I am able to track my fitness activity through the day and my sleep periods. The band is pretty reliable when it comes to measuring steps. Using the included charger is a breeze because I can charge the band while sitting at my office desk.
Paired with the phone app - awesome! My first one got wet (my fault) so, this is my 2nd. But, it has helped me lose 50 lbs! I track steps / exercise, food, and sleep. I love it!
The Up24 is exactly what I needed. I wanted something to track my exercise and my sleep patterns. And something that I could sync with my LoseIt! app. It is perfect for that. It stays charged for almost two weeks. When it is getting low, I just charge it while I take a shower. It is very comfortable. I love it!
It works great and I barely notice it!
Although I had a few sync problems that were easily resolved by rebooting, this tracker keeps me mindful of when I'm inactivity for a prolonged period of time as well as monitors my sleeping habits! I really enjoy it and it keeps me motivated to move throughout the day....
Note that up24 is not compatible with android versions older than 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and requires Bluetooth 4.0 which is not included in many of the latest android tablets. I got a Samsung Tab4 and an Asus MemoPad 7 which run with Android 4.3 and 4.4 with Bluetooth 4.0 and the barcode reader does not work. I called Jawbone support and was told that it is not compatible with most android devices only iOS. If you are an Android user you should look for a different activity tracker or buy an iPhone to use the up24.
I bought three of these in December of 2014, one for me the girlfriend and the kid, so far, I have had three break and need to be replaced, The end caps kept falling off of one of them, I purchased more caps and they still kept falling off and I kept losing them, so jawbone decides to replace with the up2, a product valued at $50 less then the up24. I agreed to it because they didn't have any replacements of the up24's. So now less then a week later my kids breaks (for the 2nd time and call them they tell me the same thing, this time I am a little madder because this is the 3rd time I have to call them regarding their poor craftsmanship of their products...they tell me I would have to replace with a up2 as well, this time I refused and told them I am tired of getting a lower quality/priced item for exchange and that I shouldn't have to lose value on two product that were under warranty, they offered me a 25% discount on purchase of a new one. I told them know, and after feeling like they have no customer care at their place I would no longer purchase their products. I told them I will think about what the offers were and get back to them.
I am getting ready to ask Jawbone to replace my device for the 2nd time. The first one quit working after about 2 months. Jawbone was nice and cooperative when I called (it does no good to email) and they sent me another one that took about a week to get. It has not made it 2 months. The day/night switch has quit working both times and nothing I can do will get it working - including the "soft reboot" they recommend. I do not think this is a quality product. I am a runner and do not believe the distance travelled are anywhere close to correct (steps taken, miles). If this 3rd one dies, I am giving up and getting the Fitbit. My girlfriend has one and it is great checking each other's stats but the rubber fitting on hers is slipped so far over the plug that she can hardly plug it into her phone or charger. Very disappointing. \
