Actually, I haven't had had it long enough in order to determine if it makes any difference, since it arrived only yesterday at the time of this writing. However, I do think that a $5 shipping charge is a bit pricey for an item that could have simply be sent in a small padded envelope. Instead, it arrived in a 6 X 6 X 8" carton with air bag packing. Geesh!
