This item came in good condition. The parts were clearly marked. The assembly instructions were clear and easy. I put it together with no trouble at all. Most important...my wife was pleased.
After reading some of the other reviews, I was hesitant to purchase this garment rack. It was the only one with a shelf, at the store, where it was purchased. It was easy to put together and I didn't find any of the parts "cheap". I have 15 blankets hanging on this rack and it's handling them with no sag or stress. I didn't know if I would like the shelf above, but I find it useful. I definitely recommend the purchase of this particular garment hanger.
I bought this rack 8 days ago and it is already broken. The mainframe of the rack is metal but the supports at pressure points are plastic, which is a recipe for disaster! If you buy this rack don't plan on putting as much clothing as it will hold. I don't feel like I had it over-loaded but it broke anyway. If you need a cheap garment rack to hang between 10-20 pieces of clothing on then this is the rack for you! Wish I had kept the box and the receipt. Oh well, you live and you learn! lol
This rack can be helpful but it depends on how you use it and what you need it for. I wanted to put this product in my laundry room downstairs. I wanted to be able to hang up clothes as they come out of the dryer. It did fulfill that purpose except you have to be careful how much stuff you hang up. I wanted to be able to leave clothes there but I cant I have to take the clothes and hang it up in their proper closets upstairs because if I dont the rack will sway to the side if it gets too heavy.
ITS A GREAT RACK AND HOLDS A LOT OF CLOTHES BUT ITS A BIT ON THE UNSTURDY SIDE! BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I was afraid I might be getting into something like this with a $20 garment rack, but honestly... $20 bucks is $20 bucks, and this thing broke while I was putting it together! I wish I was joking and I wish I could say I was being too rough with it. I was being careful, but the metal pole did not fit properly into the plastic socket, and in trying to fit them together, the plastic socket split. Within ten minutes of taking it out of the box. Also, this thing can barely hold any weight. The legs are flimsy and have this nasty habit of splaying outwards, which causes the bars that connect them to fall out of their sockets and go clanging to the floor. I took those out and decided I wouldn't bother trying to use them after about five seconds. I then hung up some clothes, and putting two pairs of jeans on one side of the rack caused it to start leaning... I ended up having to drag some drawer storage units into my closet and set them up on both sides of the clothes rack's legs just to wedge them into place and hold them (relatively) upright. With all that said, I mean, it works, if you are willign to MacGuyver it. But man was I glad when I was given a replacement rack and could get this thing out of my closet. Sheesh.
This product is a very poor purchase. I definitely agree with another review that wrote about how it leans and has to be propped up. It fell over and the plastic at the bottome broke so it was not able to be put back together properly. I even tried wrapping tape from one side to the other across the bottom, it still leaned. Lowering the height did not help either. Sadly I did not keep the container it came in or the receipt, so I will just have to trash it.
this item should not even be for sale, it is so flimsy and just junky. difficult to put together, it does not actually stay together either. after putting a few articles of clothing on it it just falls over, it cant hold itself up. it should come with a roll of duct tape because you will need it to keep it from falling apart.
The box does not have a max weight recommended. I bought 3 of these to use for a garage sale. The one with my husbands clothes split the with only a few items on it. Later it broke completely. Although they have wheels, there isnt a secure connection across the bottom, so the bottom splits apart(2 people are needed to move it.) To top that 2 of them fell completely during the garage sale (and I didnt even use the extenders.) I only recommend this for DISPLAYING a few items spread apart. It looks nice, but doesnt hold much weight.
Horrible Product! I do not think you even get your moneys worth! I had this item together for 5 minutes then it fell over and broke! It broke in about 4 different places! TO begin with it was unstable! I think if you do not have it extended all the way up it might be okay but if you have longer clothing on it then expect it to fall over asap! Do not buy this if you are wanting quality! Spend a little more and be happy!
