I actually have 4 of these Harmony Touch Remotes and they are by far the easiest to program and they can handle all of my TV's, Blu-Ray players, Roku's and sound bars.
I've been using this remote for over a month now. I have to say it is the first multi-remote I've owned that really does the job well. I've tried several different remotes and brands and this one pulls all my remotes together. It requires a bit of process-realignment to change to the Harmony 'activity based' operation, but once you glom onto that mode of operation (and realize that you can still operate individual pieces of your home theatre setup) it is quite easy. I have a fairly diverse setup of not just video playback equipment but several different pieces of audio playback gear. I come from the seventies when component home stereos were the thing for playback quality/fidelity, and I still like to sit down and listen to music only. The point being, the Harmony recognizes all of my diverse equipment thanks to it's downloadable configuration software and online database of thousands of audio and video brands and models. Easy to setup; touch screen interface; charging stand; attractive gloss black styling. It has reduced my endtable clutter to the absolute minimum of the Harmony Touch (and a Roku remote -- it is the RF version and the Harmony is IR.) I paid $100, but the Christmas sale price of $70-odd makes this a real steal (in my book.)
I bought this a month ago. Once it was set up and I got used to functionality, my four other remotes have not left their drawer. I have an Avera TV (a bit of an off brand), Barska Sound Deck (not in the data base, but Harmony learned it), Roku 3, and a Sony BlueRay DVD. All devices are controlled intuitively and easily, and the programmed 'activities' work great. If devices get out of sync, easily remedied by using on screen help menu. Love this remote!!
I really like how easy this remote is to use, as well as the features it offers. We had the older version of the Harmony Universal Remote and I like this one a lot better. This one is smaller and the touch screen is much easier to use, and again, it offers more features. So far we're really happy with it and I'd definitely recommend it.
I used it 3 days ago first time. I have a pioneer amp bought years ago and the very complicated remote was out of order for years. Now it's OK. with Harmony Touch. You only need to know what is the model of your device that's all. It takes all the features of that device's automatic. You can add as many as devices you have and use each of them separately is very easy.
This is my fourth harmony remote over the years. Big fan of harmony remotes and how easy they are to setup and use. This one has some nice features above and beyond my previous ones but does take a little time to adjust to the different layout than other harmony remotes in the past.
I ordered this item thinking it was a brand new item. It arrived in a white box (no original box/packaging) and was missing the charging base. Whether the item worked or operated properly? I have no idea cause I immediately threw it back in the terrible white box they mailed it in and sent it back and requested refund. Not paying over $100 for some item that did not have instruction, original box, or charging base.
The remote work for one activity for watching TV. The next morning when I tried to open with the Harmony One and nothing worked. I tried to make sure everything was still as was the night before and it all was the same. When I tride to turn the remote off it did not turn off.
The remote is USED not new, no where in the description is that stated plus no charging cradle they give you a cord. Walmart should do a better job screening their vendors!
Item was clearly used, despite not being listed as such. Probably intentional and borderline criminal. Shipping took so long that there was no chance of getting a replacement before Christmas, so I had to give a used gift. Awful.
