Clear instructions and all 3 items I bought worked as described - game changer in terms of convenience as I no longer need to walk around the house to turn the devices on and off. I also like the ability to use voice command via Alexa. I have been a Wemo user for years and the ability to have everything under one ecosystem or very well integrated with other apps is very important. Installation could be a little tricky because while there are several options to get the devices connected, not every option will work all the time - but you just need one to work because once it is connected then you are good to go. Note: these devices do not work on 5G networks (you have to use the slower ones) and your phone needs to be on the same network as the device to activate it. The one ding is that integration with other apps continue to be a work in progress - every time Alexa goes through an update and if Wemo doesnt update its API then it will disconnect and connect on its own after a while. Apple's home app also wants to automatically connect with the device and competes with Alexa. But I see this more as an ecosystem issue between various companies than Wemo itself.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I particularly like the software that WEMO uses. Voice control is cool, but I really like being able to easily schedule these devices. I also use the wall switches. Having exterior lights come on at dusk and go off at sunrise, in addition to the interior lights coming on at sunset is a nice feature and particularly good when we're traveling to give the house an at-home look.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 9 of these plus 3 wall switches amd 3 outdoor outlets. WeMo app worked great, but the new items that require Apple Home are causing problems. Apple Home settings are not as thorough or intuitive as the WeMo app “Rules” are/were. Neither WeMo nor Apple Home will recognize one of my 9 smart plugs factory resetting the unit and trying to reconnect at least 6 times. I have to carefully delete Rules and attempt to recreate them in Apple Home for aligning new Thread items with older items for a common rule or setting. As in my title for this, they work great when the app works…

Buyer beware…this does not work with the WEMO app. It will not work with Alexa routines. It will only work with Apple Home kit. Not worth the money.
My 7 F7C063 “Mini Smart Plug” are rock solid now. However the 3 newer WSP080 “Smart Plug” and 2 WSP080 “Outdoor Plug” won't connect after a power outage or Wi-Fi disruption. I have to go to each one and physically unplug it to reconnect. Truly annoying. A firmware update is needed.

It does not work and can not be set up by following the useless instructions. I tried for 30 minutes. I have a bachelor's and masters degrees in engineering. Most people will find out that this is a total piece of crap. Poorly designed, pitifully documented and with atrocious tech support. Look for other brands. There are many good ones. Avoid this trashy brand like the plague.
If you have a blackout, you need to go and turn them back on because they stay off. I have a notification that there are firmware updates for my products and they just say that can't be updated because the product is busy. Oh my gosh what a waste of money. I bought 8 of this. The worst product I've ever bought. It's a shame on Belkin and will continue to be a shame if they continue doing this type of product. I remember you were listed on Apple and that's why I bought this product and now they are removed and now I understand. Oh what a waste of time and money.
Wemo plugs are generally good, however from this seller, all 3 boxes that I received had previously been opened and only 2 of the 3 plugs worked. All 3 boxes showed signs of damage, all 3 seals were broken and on 2 of the boxes it was evident that another label had previously covered the UPC code and what appears to be the serial number (sticky adhesive is on the box where these codes are located and the codes appear worn). Returned 1 of the plugs. Items were not advertised as used or previously opened.
