I have tried a LOT of NYX lipsticks and this is my absolute favorite formula. I used to wear exclusively liquid lipsticks and then I tried Smudge Me in this line and absolutely loved it! It is smooth, light, pigmented and genuinely lasts forever- I've eaten full meals and not had to reapply. I want it in every color! I haven't even worn liquid lipsticks in months, just my collection of Suede Mattes!
This is my FAVORITE lipstick! When I stopped in the NYX store the sales consultant told me it was like your regular lip color... but better! And she was sooo right! I ended up leaving mine in a hotel when we moved, and was so glad to find it online to order now that I'm not near a NYX store.
I love the color and it's matte
The texture is even smoother than the Butter line IMO! The color did not quite suit my complexion so I wore it alone for a day and I wore it in combination with a different color from a different matte line of NYX's and I love the results! The two blended effortlessly and nicely! It lasted for the most part of the day until I ate and then I reapplied and I was good to go for the rest of the afternoon! NYX Perfect red pops beautifully. I have yellow undertones so it has been hard to find a red color that doesn't give me the Bozo the Clown look or clash with my skin color. Perfect red is supposed to be the more affordable alternative to Mac's Ruby Woo which doesn't hurt! So many colors to choose from.
I got the blue! It's darker than I thought but overall loved the shade and how it looked with my skin tone.
I received the shade 'Brunch Me' and although I like it very much, I was initially pretty nervous about wearing it due to its terracotta color and my pale skin. It warmed to me and it wears nicely throughout the day. It's not a true matte. It appears matte, but I would say it's more of a satin. It transfers, even after hours of wear. The bullet gives a nice amount of product and the componenet is cute. Smells decadent, but not overpowering. Has no real taste if you get it in your mouth. Depending on activities, it may need reapplied every few hours. It doesn't bunch up or dry out the lips. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
it goes on super silky. it somewhat has that super dry crispy effect as the day goes on, but it's not horrible. nice to layer a black or purple gloss over. it doesn't stay twisted up. it gets pushed down when i put it on, but that could just be a defect with the particular tube that i got. overall i'm satisfied with it, and it will be my shade this winter :)
