I bought one of these for my boyfriend when we moved in together. It was for his "man-cave." But of course I fell in love with it and needed one for my office. I have one in black and his is grey and they are perfect to watch a movie on or hang out on. I don't think they would do well as a primary couch in a living room though. They are low to the ground and not very deep, but for our purposes, they are perfect. Do note that they only fold up on one side lengthwise and one side depth wise. In my case that means I have to pivot it around to make sure it is facing the TV in both directions. It's not a big deal but I didn't think about it before I bought it.
I purchased on the 15th August, received 18th August by 1pm tracking by Free FedEx shipping. The driver brought it in. Set up was a breeze. Just screwing in the legs. I keep the plastic on and removed when I was finished~ Sets very low to the floor ~ very comfy~ just right for me.
It's REALLY low to the ground, which makes it GREAT for our kids, but not so much for grown ups. It would be good for anyone 25 and younger I'd say. I just don't get up and down as easy any more. Also, it takes up more room than I expected. The metal base is flat and stays down even in the couch position. So it has the same footprint no matter what. We were able to make it work, but it would have been nice to know before hand. It's attractive, pretty comfortable and seems well made. The ONLY improvements I would make would be: taller legs and an optional slip cover to make cleaning it easier.
I bought this after reading the other reviews which were helpful. It is a bit on the short side if you are tall and it is also really more for one person vs 2 to sleep on. That being said, I am using it as an outside seat/futon and I LOVE IT! It took me only a few minutes to put it together. It is light enough that it is easy to move around. It is so comfy to sit outside on. Great deal for $99! So happy I purchased it.
This mini futon is perfect for my daughter and she just loves it. It is nice that it can recline on the end and fold into a sofa. She loves the soft microfiber cover. I have actually laid on it and it is comfortable except for the center where it folds. It was a great purchase and you definitely get your monies worth! I would recommend this for anyone looking for something simple and economical for a childs room or spare room.
I bought this futon for my college dorm room. Beware, it's low to the ground. But, I put it on bed risers and now it's at a perfectly fine height. Looks a little strange, but it works. (see pics). Since it's so low, even with the risers, you can't fit a normal sized plastic storage crate underneath, which kinda stinks. It's really comfortable! Don't believe what the other people say! It's just as comfortable as I expected and maybe even more so. I read that people said it tipped over, which it doesn't. I sat on each edge and bounced up and down on my butt and it barely budged, and never tipped in the least bit. My favorite part is the multiple positions you can put it in. The half bed/half couch position is awesome! super comfortable. Hopefully the locking mechanism inside won't break after being readjusted constantly. The only problem i've had is that my futon (i bought it offline) came without the hardware. I had to call the company and get them to ship out all of the stuff for me to get to put it together. Minor hiccup but whatever. I haven't had much time to test out my futon. I haven't moved in yet so it's sitting in my basement. But it seems sturdy enough to live up to college living!
You get what you pay for. It is truly a mini-futon, super tiny. I purchased this futon to fill in space in my son's room and to replace the gaming rocker chair that he had. He is 11 years old and as a couch it can fit 3 people comfortably. I would not recommend using this as a permanent bed but may be useful for a sleepover. The legs are very, very short almost close to the ground. It is really easy to put together. All you need to do is take it out of the box and attach 4 legs.
Ok, So I bought this for my 8 year old son. He wanted a couch in his room so this was as close as he was going to get. I love the color the feel of the padding. the way you have to raise it and lower it is a bit annoying. i dont feel the quality of the actual mattress is very good/durable. he has only had it since the first week of April and where he sits you can see the padding inside the cover is already looking mis-shaped. it bows out a bit where the areas that he does not sit the most looks fine. i am unhappy about that. I did say i would recommend this product and I would, Overall its ok i just have a few issues that someone else may not. i will be keeping it. he loves it! so that is all that matters right? =) Hope this helps.
smaller than expected , but still works well. had a small pin hole in the fabric when received, but I am able to repair without sending back
I read a lot of reviews on this product before deciding to buy it. It's just my husband & I here, so we didn't need anything real big, and this futon is great for our needs. It's great for lounging, though we never have it in the actual couch position, we keep it in one of the bed positions so that we can sit on it and still stretch out. It does sit quite low to the ground as other reviews have said, but overall we are very pleased for the price we paid, and it was a very easy product to assemble as well.
