The drawers are cheaply made, but that's to be expected for the price. As long as you don't overstuff them with things too heavy they will last. I bought this with the 5 drawer dresser that matches. I think they both look graet. It took about an hour - 1 1/2 hrs to assemble with me and my husband doing it (but we have 2 little ones that kept interrupting). Overall I am very happy with the dresser.
It is cheaply made, but still a nice dresser for the money. Bought it for our 2.5 year old. The drawers are easy to open, and this looks great with the coordinating mirror. Highly recommend.
Lots of storage but when all pieces were purchased as a matching unit it took 6 1/2 hours to complete the task. Set aside a whole day to get all done correctly. Nice appearance though.
this dresser is ok if you are looking for a nice dresser that is of decent quality. the only thing i dont like about this dresser and the reason for the lower rating is that the back of the dresser and the back and bottoms of the drawers are a thin cardboard that my husband put some dents in trying to put it together. something else that isnt the greatest is that the back of the dresser, on the bottom, is solid the whole way across and the front has three spots where its supported and that makes it want to tip forward...my husband fixed that by putting plexi-glass pieces under the front supports.
It does the job for a 10 year old... I purchased this for my step son to match existing South Shore bunk beds and tall dresser. Same quality and I'm glad I was able to purchase same make and style almost 2 years later so that it all matched.
For the price it is what I expected. It is VERY short, which is fine for me because it is in the baby room. Took us 6 hours to assemble with breaks here and there as it is frustrating (like any assemble project). Drawers aren't very deep but slide very nicely. For some baby furniture I am satisfied.
We ordered two of these dressers. They take a bit of time to assemble, I wouldn't say it's difficult just time consuming. I do recommend using a small power hand screwdriver as some of the wood screws are very difficult. I was a bit fooled by the photo , I though there were four small drawers on the top but I should have read the description. It is actually a regular sized drawer with a decorative line and four knobs. It functions as it should but I have only had it for a week so unsure how it will hold up over time.
It took my handy husband a long time to put together but for the price he would expect that. The draws are stiff and the quality is not as nice as my more expensive dresser but for the price I cannot complain
The dresser was extremely difficult to put together. The directions were not very clear. The two tools that were suppose to be included were not. It is a very sturdy product and once put together looks very nice.
if you purchase this make sure you have a bottle of wood glue as the plastic dowels are a loose fit and all seams will need to be reinforced. also the drawer bottoms are cardboard so you will need some lumber to run on the bottom of the draws site to side to improve structure. third you will need a drill to drill pilot holes for the nails so you don't split the particle board. the one thing i didn't do but probably should have was to get out the biscuit joint er out and use it on all the corners.
