Detailed product description

Oops! Did you have some bold hair color ideas that didn't turn out as planned? Donât worry. Color Oops has you covered. When hair color is applied, small clear dye intermediates are deposited in hair. During the coloring process, hydrogen peroxide oxidizes the dye into large colorful pigments that are too big to be washed from hair. Color Oops reverses that process by reversing the oxidation of hair color pigment. Color Oops helps to shrink the color pigment back to small clear dye intermediates. These intermediates are still in the hair. Next comes shampoo to rinse our all those intermediates. We recommend washing and rinsing for 5 minutes 3-4 times, but the longer you rinse the better. If any of the dye intermediates are left in the hair, they can re-oxidize over time and your hair can re-darken. Donât let your hair win the battle over color! Take back control. Color Oops can help you do it.

Color Oops, Removes Hair Color, Restores to Natural Hair Color, Gentle Color Remover, Easily Corrects Hair Color Mistakes, Washes Away Difficult Colors Ammonia-Free, Bleach-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan Protect clothing. Color Oops can permanently stain clothing. Follow written cautions and directions. Never mix Color Oops with other products during procedure. Do not apply if skin is broken, abraded or irritated. Do not use Color Oops over henna or gradual color restorers containing metallic salts. To do so may cause discoloration and/or breakage. As with any chemical service, conduct a strand test frequently to ensure desired results. Always do a standard skin patch test and hair strand test before proceeding. Never use on eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness. In the event of accidental contact flush immediately with water and seek medical attention. Do not use dryers or external heat sources during processing with Color Oops at any time. Always mix entire contents according to directions. Do not store or save unused product. Part 1 and part 2 must be mixed in equal amounts (entire contents of both bottles) before applying to hair. Do not leave Color Oops on hair longer than twenty minutes. If you colored your hair to a lighter color, Color Oops will NOT return your hair to its natural color. Color Oops will remove the artificial pigment you deposited in your hair, but it will not be able to replace the natural pigment you removed by coloring your hair lighter. To return to your natural color it will be necessary to replace your natural pigment. This can be achieved by re-coloring your hair with a color close to your natural color. If you have naturally dark hair and you colored your hair to a light color and then re-colored to a dark color and then used Color Oops, your hair will be returned to the light color, not your dark natural color. When is Color Oops used? When a color has been applied and the results are too dark, or off-tone. Don't use Color Oops when hair has been lightened. Why is Color Oops used? To correct or reverse an undesirable recent color application. Where is Color Oops Applied? Apply to hair in areas that the previously applied hair color is too dark, or off-tone.

Color oops saved my hair!

I made a very on the whim decision to color my hair “dark cherry brown” by John Frieda. I had medium brown hair with highlights before coloring. It came out almost black with blood red streaks from the highlights. THEN COLOR OOPS CAME ALONG AND SAVED THE DAY! I was so hesitant to used because of the mixed reviews, but I was desperate to get rid of the nasty color. The process is long but I followed the directions step by step. It lifted all the color minus a slight bit of reddish brown but it's MUCH lighter. And it lifted evenly! I was shocked! I followed up with a protein deep conditioning mask. You must have patience but trying this is better than color correcting at the salon for 200-400$! I had absolutely ZERO hair damage from this process! I cannot recommend it enough. It saved my hair and my bank account from a bad mistake.

Yes it has a unpleasant smell. I have black/dark brown hair. I’ve been using black box dye for over 10 years. Recently decided to go gray gracefully. I purchased this hoping it would stripe the dye from my silver hair strands to rid me of the demarcation line. It did stripe the box dye from my silver strands but the strands are light brown. I know it’s my silver because it is shiny and brown. It only lightened my gray strands making them brown. I am okay with that because it looks a little more blended instead of a dark demarcation line. Almost looks like I have brown/copper highlights. The rest of my hair did not change in color. You will rinse your hair for well over 20 minutes and it changed the texture of my hair. It felt stripped, but after shampooing 4 times, I did 3 deep conditioning. The first deep conditioner was 3 minute miracle Aussie, second I used my purple shimmer conditioner, lastly I did a 30 minute hair mask. Finally after shampooing and conditioning for over an hour, I sprayed leave in conditioner It’s A 10 and two pumps of keratin hair serum. I blew it dry and it’s silky smooth. I gave 5 stars because I had a decent experience and I plan to use it again in a couple months to attempt to strip my gray/silver strands.

I thought it'd be a long shot, since I am a natural ginger, and I have colored my hair black for 5 years. I bought it on a whim, intending to go back to ginger. I applied, left on for 30 minutes, rinsed and shampooed twice (for a total of 20 minutes) and it stripped all the black out! I am shocked! I am quite pleased with this product. Ginger hair is the most difficult to do anything with by way of coloring, so I really didn't expect much. I am definitely recommending this!

This stuff definitely works if you follow the directions! I had previously died my hair with Redken shades eq overtop blonde highlights and it definitely took out a lot of it!! I had done a vitamin c %26 dandruff shampoo treatment to remove some before and that works too! First is right after dying it and second is after the vitamin c and color oops!

This product is very good, this reveals how many colors your hair has, it also lightens it so you can see what color to apply in each revealed area to have an even color when you want to change color. Great, I like it, like any process applied to the hair, you will need to apply conditioner and treatment to nourish the hair after this process.

Yes it works and I'm SHOCKED. I had almost black hair dye in my hair which I colored it about 3 times.. Upon trying Color Oops, I first started with using 3 boxes during Round 1 because I have really long hair. My hair was not back to my natural color after Round 1's application, but still lighter.. so I bought another 3 boxes and it worked to its full potential!! I finally have my natural color back, no bleach and hair health is still in tact :)

I went to walmart today and picked up two bottles of the color oops. My hair was a bright red. I first used vidal sassoon 5v and didnt like it so i went brighter. I used the color 5vvr clairol flare permanent dye, wasn't happy with that either! My hair was dyed for about 5 days before using color oops. My hair before dying was like a walnut brown. I followed the directions in the box to the T, dye was really watery and I used both boxes for my hair, I have long and thick hair. I used tresseme shampoo mixed with dawn dish soap to help fade the color. After about 25 min of rinsing and shampooing my hair was as good as it was gonna get. It turned to this orangish blonde color. I was not happy with that so I went and got a light brown dye to fix it. My hair has a slight red tint after recoloring, but it's MUCH better. Did color oops do exactly as I'd hoped....no! But it did strip almost all of the color. Also my hair is a tad damaged from all the dye so I suggest using leave in conditioner and a coconut oil hair mask. Like others said the smell is AWEFUL!!! Smells nothing like box dye!! it smells like rotted eggs mixed with lemon juice. The smell also stays in ur hair no matter how much u wash it. The before pic is with the first box dye. I didn't take a pic after using the second red which was about 3 shaded brighter.

This was the most horrifying experience! I followed direction to a T and my hair became so knotted and dry that i thought i was going to have to cut all my hair off! After an hour and a half, i finally got all the tangles out... along with a TON of my hair! I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN!

Don't use it!! My hairs naturally dark. Tried to get it to match my hair that was growing out and use the color oops since I haven't had my hair done in like 8 months atleast and it made it look like a fire ball instead and have 3-4 different colors of orange brown and yellow in it… first pic shows what it was and my natural dark hair.. the others well you can see and figure it out yourself..
