I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. The product connects easily. The image result is crisp and very clear. My favorite feature is how lightweight and compact it is. There was no assembly required. Product is much lighter and more compact than any I have ever used before and packs away easily. My expectations in quality standard were met in this product. I wouldn`t improve anything about this product or its features. It`s technology and usability are all I could expect in a mobile scanning device. Overall, I would say this product meets all my expectations including price, quality, and ease of use. It was just what I have been looking for to clean up my receipt clutter.
I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I had the opportunity to work with the new DS-940DW mobile scanner. Overall, I was impressed with the features and capabilities. First, the scanner works independently and does not need to be hooked up to a computer to operate which is great for offsite meetings where you will need a signature but not your computer. To do this though, you need to have a micro SD card which is not included. This would have been a nice inclusion. The scanner is a single document feed and I had it scan approximately 12-15 pages per minute so it is quick but not designed to scan those 100 page documents. The size is relatively small. The best comparable I could think of is a 3 hold puncher with more of a rectangular shape. Overall the product was easy to install and use. I had read reviews of a previous generation that it was difficult to set up but my set up was a breeze with the included software. One thing I am missing is a sleeve or protective case for the scanner. I will need to find one as there is not an easy place to put it in my laptop bag I currently have. The scanner itself seemed pretty tough but with the investment and constant moving it would be nice to have a dedicated cover. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
It's small and convenient and once you get it set up and familiarize yourself with it then you can get rid of all the paper clutter. I did have issues downloading and once it took it did take some time. I also did experience some receipt jamming because of the length of the paper.
This is not exactly a review, this is a question I need. I purchased this and it works well, I do have a problem.... I got this scanner mainly to scan pictures (old and some a little thicker then todays prints.) As I put the pictures in they get stuck on the paper holder on the back part of the scanner and will not pushup and through. Is there a way to take the flap off or lay it down? I see in some of the advertisements the flap is not there
Wanted a plug and go. Very easy instruction but couldnt get it work. Downloaded software and alerts started. Paper jam , open top etc.. and hadnt use it. Never scanned. Sending it pack. Very disappointed.
Having issues with it. can't find the menu on setting up the timer to have it power down after use. Also not so user friendly. think I'm going to return it for a different brand. scans great when it does work. 2 sided Is a plus.
It broke after about two weeks. I spent over an hour on the phone with someone from Brother. They were able to fix it the first time, but a week later, I was no longer able to power it up. Fortunately, I was able to return it for a full refund.
