these plates were surprisingly sturdy. if it is important to you to be kind to the Earth this is also a good choice. definitely better than styrofoam and plastic waste. definitely will buy them again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hefty Eco Plate is durable and strong. This 10-inch paper plate can hold a good amount of food. I normally throw a lot of backyard parties and these plates are perfect for my gatherings. They are 1/8 of an inch thick and hold up to heavy foods like chicken and steak without collapsing. I like that they are soak resistant. They seem to hold my sauces and salads in place and this helps to keep the wetness from running into my other foods. These plates are sturdy, they do allow food or wetness to leak through the plates. I also like that they are molded plates. The ridge helps to keep my food on my plate. I feel good about using them since they are constructed from plant-based materials and are 100% compostable in industrial facilities. When my family needs to re-heat their food, they are also microwavable, which is a huge plus. They stay firm and strong while reheating. The best part is no dirty dishes to clean up when we are done eating!

These plates are sturdy and wide enough for an adults portions of food . My only complaint is that they are absorbant and start to deteriorate into the hot food
Did not like at all. Some foods leaked through in the microwave.. won't buy again
