I've known about Kim Waters for a long time, but this is the first CD of his I've purchased. I was primarily drawn to the artist due to the song "Waterfall" (track #2). The song is a mix of sax, techno and fusion. Unfortunately, none of the other songs on the CD follow this genre' and are mostly forgettable. This being said, I would recommend this CD to jazz / saxophone lovers. In my humble opinion, jazz of the 90's was too "Kenny G" with the over use of a soprano saxophones. Any artist of that timeframe followed Kenny G's lead and all saxophone jazz sounded very similar. Thankfully, with the new millennium, jazz artists moved away from the Kenny G era. Kim Waters did the same and this 2002 release CD is a good example of some of his best work.
