I purchased this ramp with the intention of hauling my snow blower around in the winter time. I also have the intention of using this great quality product to haul my bbq grill back and forth to the campgrounds in the summer time! This item went together easily and mounts perfectly behind my truck and camper! Thanks for making a great product!
Folding scooter ramp carrier is very heavy duty, easily assembled (two person job) glad I have a tractor with pallet forks. Definitely needed the receiver drop. First try the angle was too steep for the scooter from receiver on 5th wheel. 2" drop was all it needed. Scooter runs right up and fits perfect! Glad to have the tie downs also to secure the scooter. Very pleased!
The packaging was in relatively good shape considering the weight, all parts were there & everything lined up perfectly when I was assembling. Clear instructions, just a few minor adjustments, good to go. Thanks for the great product. My Buzzaround XL fits perfectly!!
Purchased this to carry the power chair on the back instead of disassembling the chair and loading it into the van. Now I have more space inside for passengers or other cargo!
This is perfect for my husband's mobility scooter. When I'm with him, I can tear down the scooter (for putting in the back of my SUV), but that doesn't help if he can't go anywhere alone -- and now he can! Easy to assemble; however it does take two to take on and off but only need to do that on occasion so not a big deal. Thank you for a quality product!
This product came when product was back in stock, not an issue, not that long, just a few days. The time they said in stock actually was the day I received my carrier which made me surprised and happy . The box it came in was a little beat up which caused some concern. When I opened the box everything was accountable. There was a slight ding on the side where something sharp and metal tried to take a chunk out of it. All the welds looked fair and the carrier is sturdily built. Putting together was a breeze except getting it up to line up with trailer hitch. Luckily I had a friend who helped with that. Love the fold-ability of this product. The spring locking pins are great, you just have to remember the sequence of pulling as you raise or lower the ramp. Love the adjust ability of the tilt and angle adjustment bolts on the hitch to fine tune the level of the carrier. Love the way it folds up out of the way when not in use next to my tailgate on my truck which negates having to remove it to go about driving without the powered chair loaded. Because of the height of my truck hitch there is no possibility of scraping the pavement. Seems good and sturdy because my friend tested it out by walking up the ramp and then jumping up and down on the platform. Super!! It is definitely to be recommended to my friends.
We r carrying a 380# electric wheelchair. It seems to b doing a good job. I have 2 complaints. It moves a bit. The hole to keep it closed when not in use doesn't line up so I have to strap it shut. I do recommend the swing arm for hatchback type vehicles. I plan to buy it but wanted to try it first without. I wish this included a couple tie down straps since u absolutely have to use them. I was pleased with the price and it seems to b build well.
The carrier arrived damaged inside the box. The box was not damaged. The side lip of the main metal platform had a large dent in the corner. After assembly was completed and we had it for 2 weeks, the grate mesh is already starting to rust. We had already disposed of the shipping box when we noticed the dent so we didn't return it.
I actually returned this item. Partly because it's too cumbersome for me to use. I needed my sons to help me. It's works great for a strong person. Plus it covers my license plate and I would have to pay to have my plate moved. The item itself worked as described. Just not for me.
The SUV is more than capable of varying the weight but the carrier itself has too much flex to for my 375 lb Permobile M300 no matter how slow you go any kind of bump, rail road tracks, speed bumps, even a smooth but hilly ride the carrier hits rock bottom. Maybe if you have a truck or a full sized SUV it would work for you but we put it on a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and drove about 20 minutes but don't feel it's safe to use. I called and asked ahead of time verifying the vehicle used, type of chair I have and weight of the chair with the dealer specifically asking about movenent weight and flex with the dealer and he assured me this would work for me. It doesn't.
