I am extremely pleased with this ramp. The versatility, ease of assembly, lightweight, and non skid service was everything I hoped it would be. The height to length ratio also helped me figure out what size ramp I needed! The delivery time was perfect so I could have it set up in place when I brought my husband home from re-hab. I had debated on having a wooden ramp built, but wasn't sure I wanted a permanent fixture outside my entryway. I am happy I chose to go with the portable aluminum ramp, which gives me the option to fold it up and store it, if the time comes when I no longer need it!
We ordered 3 ramps (4', 6', and 9') to allow my sister (who uses a wheelchair) to get in and out of our house without assistance. The ramps arrived 2 days later and were exactly as described. They fold up to be stored easily. The 9' is heaviest at around 80 lbs. But it folds to a quarter of its open size. So it stores nicely when my sister isn't visiting. We were very pleased with the ramps.
The ramp was delivered on time. Easy to open and assembly. It fit perfectly on my steps and it allowed me to put my Dad in a wheelchair and get him in and out of the house, as it got to the point where he could no longer use a walker. Mobility is so important. The representative was so helpful when I called and guided me to the right ramp purchase for my stair situation.
The ramp worked perfect and stores easily.
I can't say enough good words for this company and product! The Sales Rep was wonderful to work with and the product was the perfect solution for my wheel-chair bound husband. Gave him so much more freedom! I live in a Senior Housing complex and I have had several neighbors looking at your product! Charlotte
I bought this ramp for my German Shepherd that has been diagnosed with Degenerative myelopathy. He will soon need a wheelchair to get around outside and I have steps. I didn't take into consideration the seam down the middle that toes could get caught in, but a yoga mat remedied that. It's working beautifully! He's going outside more often - not just sitting in the doorway. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We frequently travel in a Ford T-350 Transit and needed a way to get my mom's Pride Victory 10 3-wheel scooter into and out of the car. It's a heavy job even for two people and we couldn't lift it alone. This 9 foot collapsible ramp does the job perfectly and fits great in the back of the Transit when not in use.
This is the 2nd ramp we have ordered and may yet order another- first the pros: one side can fold up so you can still use the steps- just fold the other side over when you need the ramp- portable and only about 40 pounds together, but you can separate each side- handle on each piece- great for our situation- cons: it seems a bit too flexible- it's rated 600 lbs- plenty for a 100 pounder in a dualator and 150 lbs pushing- just wish it "felt" sturdier- I wish I had gotten the 8' but based on the suggested ratings ( h/l) it works but a bit steep pushing uphill. Overall, great concept- beats the heck out of a big wooden permanent ramp that tells everyone in the world that a disabled/handicapped person lives there. Quick delivery- good product and price- I would recommend to a friend.
I will be using our ramp for my disabled brother, who is wheel chair bound, so that he can visit us in our home. I liked the length and height this ramp offered so that we could access our deck. I disliked the way the metal fluctuated when walking on it which made it feel unstable and how the metal sounded as it fluctuated was a little unnerving as well. It did hold about 450lbs. but I question its ability to hold the 600lbs. it is advertised to carry. As long as it gets my brother safely in and out of our home that's all I need. It won't be used very often because my brother will only visit occasionally. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The ramp was received with a manufacturing defect that wouldn't allow it to fully open. There was a weld on one section that interfered with the mating section when unfolding the ramp. I contacted customer support, sent pictures and promptly got a new one, but it had the same defect so since I needed it badly I didn't bother with contacting customer service again. I chiseled the weld that was interfering with proper operation and it now works great. I suspect all of them are made that way and they just don't get tested after assembly. Anyway, I'm still happy with my purchase, but quality loses two stars.
