This product was perfect for a family member who had hip surgery and had limited mobility. It was easy to assemble and was light weight yet sturdy. I would highly recommend it
My 88 yr old Mother-in-law just couldn't make it to the bathroom in the middle of the night fast enough. This portable commode now sits right next to her bed and no more accidents during the night. Surprisingly sturdy this was put together in about 5 minutes. Price way under the shops for disabled people. This now lets her sleep much more assured. Also this has the splash guard when taking the bucket to empty it.
The legs are ajustables. Sturdy. The colour is subtle. Very useful.
This arrived the same day my mother came home from the hospital. What a great item for the elderly and those needing assistance. Very easy to collapse and use for travel. Easy to clean as well. Great value and quality for the price!
This is a great product. I had a flushable one that was not foldable, it was too bulky and you could not adjust the height on it. This is so conveinent I wish I had of seen this before I invested in the flushable one.
I bought this commode for the bedside to avoid accidents on the trip to the bathroom after hip surgery. It popped together like magic indicating to me that it was well designed and manufactured. It is much more comfortable for me than the toilet in the bathroom which is fitted with a raised seat. The arms help me steady myself. The entire commode is very stable. There is room on the side so there is no pressure or rubbing on my incision. I weigh 180 and my hips are almost 50 inches around. Note: When I used a similar item in the hospital the aide put a pillow behind my back. Another hint: I put a disposable chuck under the commode - absorbent side up - to collect any drips, although this might be too slippery or a trip hazard for some people. I would be very helpful to have some tips on snapping the seat and lid onto the bar. Can I use vegetable oil or petroleum jelly? Soapy water? Even when I sit on it my almost 200 pounds, do not provide enough pressure. Also it would be handy to have guides on the bar so the seat and seat cover when I do get them on will be symmetrical. I used one in the subacute facility where they were not snapped on evenly and was unable to remove them to readjust or slide them along the bar to readjust.
I bought my husband side rails after his falling out of bed. It makes getting in and out of bed as well as moving around while in bed. I can sleep without worry. Also bought the folding commode. Thanks for your help guiding me folding and disassembling when I needed to store the commode. I also have purchased a transport chair. All of the equipment I have purchased arrived in perfect condition.
This commode is just as I expected it to be. It will be very helpful since we have only one bathroom.
have only had it a few weeks, but seems to be worth the money. is used by 90 pound person, but 225 pound person sits on it occasionally with the lid down. description left off that the height is adjustable, which is a plus. tried to pick one up in the store, but unfortunately, there was none there. cheapest delivery took about a week. easy to assemble.
The frame for this commode is very sturdy. I purchased this for a friend, to replace her old one of 13 years. the seat though is quite flimsy and circular. Her old seat was 13 1/2 '" front to back and the new one was 13". the width of the new one is 13" and the old is 15 1/2" there is also a 1/4"gap in the back between the splash guard and the seat, thus if you have diarrhea it makes a mess. I called the company and that is the only seat they have for that model.
