Surprised how well they fit in my 71 Chevelle w/big block !
Bought these headers for a big block swap into my 4th Gen 75 nova. They fit great with so much clearance. Had to trim a bit off of the driver's side motor mount but otherwise fits great.
After installing raised port (0.300") heads, my old headers would not allow me to thread spark plugs in on two of the holes on the passenger side. Online, I found one person that stated these headers worked with the raised exhaust port heads. They work an allow better clearance for the spark plugs. It did require modification of a spark plug socket by cutting it down to 1.5" overall length and had to drill the socket to allow the spark plug socket to slide over the end of the plug. Now a open ended wrench is needed, but I have spark plugs installed and clearance for plug wires.
Fit well on chevelle. Had to dimple one side for steering shaft but good fit otherwise.
I spent 4 days trying to make them fit in a g body. I'm sure if I had stock heads without raised exhaust ports they would have fit a little better. That being said they are a nice piece. I can't complain that I put them in something they were not intended for.
Bought within last month, they run steering shaft, had to pull motor back up, heat & bend header pipe to clear steering shaft
I bought this brand and exact part number header for my 454 BBC for my 68 Chevelle there is no way for these to fit without beating them to death
