Insulation is good enough to keep cold liquids cold all day in a hot garage (85° - 95°F). In the morning I fill it about 1/4 full of ice, then top it off with refrigerated water. By the 4-hour mark the water is so cold it gives me a headache if I chug it down. I got the black one. No sun shines on it in the garage, so can't speak on whether or not the sun's heat would warm up its contents.
Keeps things cold for a long time. Like that you can hang it.
Replaces steel jug - lighter, easier to drink out of and keeps the water cool all day
My main line of work is outside in the rain or shine, snow or heat wave but even when I study indoors for college classes I bring this container everywhere. It's a no-thrills classic design that keeps things simple (and cool); water is still ice cold many hours after I fill it up. It's much cheaper in price than the competition, BPA free and it was made in the USA by a reputable company; those three things sold me immediately and it makes me question why would people buy something that holds the same capacity for 10x the price...
I bought this in an attempt to reduce single use plastic water bottle usage. It precisely meets that need. Thank you!
Judge me or follow my lead. I use this one for my personal beverages. I pack it with ice and fill with iced tea and it remains perfect until the last cup. It's also suitable for other beverages that do well when ice is added. You're welcome!
The cooler itself is a good cooler that keeps my ice water cold all day. The problem is that the handle is very cheap and breaks very easily and the spout pops out of place because of the o ring slips out of place. Had to actually glue the o ring in place and that seemed to have solved that problem.
Sorry I bought it. The bottom is bowed and it wobbles somewhat instead of staying still when I touch it. Also, the lid has to be put on so tight to where it can't be turned any more or it leaks when you pour from it. And the lid doesn't screw on very easily. Nothing smooth about it.
What good is a water bottle that doesn't hold water? I bought two of these at one time and really regret it. More often than not, the water bottle tips over and leaks...all over my car, all over my son's backpack. These are pieces of junk. Please do not buy them. To add insult to injury, they can't even be recycled. IGLOO can do better. Please don't support them.
I like the black jug, but sadly will have to retun because it really feels cheaply made and with my soccer player, this one is not gonna last.
