I'm on my 3rd bottle of both formulas of the makeup mist and set. The illuminating and the regular. Hands down, thumbs down, eyes lifted up: BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST MAKEUP SET SPRAYS ON THE MARKET 2-DAY!
I love this product, I use it everytime I wear my makeup. It keeps my foundation from smudging or transferring onto clothes, people etc. being a model my makeup has to look flawless for photoshoots and runway shows, and I has to hold up against sweat, hot lights, hugs and Hollywood kisses (darling, so good to see you..cheek, cheek..kiss..kiss) It makes my skin so hydrated and feeling amazing hours!
I have three bottles of this. I'm still going through my first ever-purchased bottle and I have seriously have taken this spray for granted. I usually do one or two spritz around 8 or so inches away from my face. pretty far. I didn't think much of it. One day I decide to do a full face- especially working hard on the eyeshadow. It was perfect. The thing about me is- my liner and shadow creases and disappears after a few minutes because of a nervous tic which makes me squint on the right throughout the day. So, when it came time for the spray, I accidentally spritz too close to my face, even to a few droplets of the product coating and a couple droplets running down the crease of my eyelid. I let it dry, hoping I didn't mess it up- which I didn't and went on through the day. I'm excited to say that coat helped my liner stay flawless and look as fresh as when I applied it. I even decided to sleep with my makeup to see if it would last through the night and I was surprised in the morning to see that it did- again, liner still intact without any sign of fade or smudge. You don't know how happy that made me. I will definitely re-purchase every time I run out.
So I use this when I have a big night out. I usually like to experiment with my makeup and draw designs at the inner or outer corners of my eyes :) Swirls, coloured designs, face crystals and so on (I've attached a pic, sorry about the low quality). Usually, by the end of the night the eyeshadow would have faded and the eyeliner would have smudged. But this product really keeps everything in place, even to the wee hours of the morning! Not only that, when you spray it, your face feels very refreshed. I have not detected any scent to this product, and it has not caused any irritation. I would really recommend this product, especially for people who wear more make up and want it to stay in place. Also good for touching up every now and then, but mainly because it feels so nice to spray!
I initially tried this spray because my boss was using it. I ended up falling in love and got two bottles for myself. I use it after putting on liquid foundation and elf's HD powder. It gives me a dewy/natural look and holds my makeup in place, but my face will get shiny a few hours later. Keep in mind though that I haven't tried this with powder foundation or an oil-less liquid foundation. Overall: I love it!
This product, in conjunction with the eyelid primer stick / eyeliner setter makes my eye makeup last all day, and helps me to look awake and human. I have never had issues with the sprayer in my Mist & Set bottles, and it has always worked perfectly for me. With these two products, my eyes always look great.
I tried this product on a whim as the ones at ulta are very expensive. It works pretty well. Without this spray my make up looks matte for like 2 hours then because shiny as heck like literally so greasy it looks like someone rubbed chicken grease on me lol. But I tried this with the elf setting powder and it went well. I placed the setting powder on after putting on my make up then sealed it with the spray. It decreased my shine immensely. it was a heat wave here and even after 6 hours in the 90 plus degree and extreme humidity my face still looked great.
As a user of Mac Fix + I was looking for a cheaper alternative with a little bit more product than the small size. When I tried this I was a little skeptical but really, it outdid the Fix +! Mind you although it dosen't smell as good as Fix + for the price, and the way it works it dosen't have to smell like roses, but it definitely dosen't smell disgusting! I've repurchased twice! I won't leave the house without it.
I mostly use this setting spray for blending. I'll wet my brushes or sponges with it. Works like a charm. As far as setting my face with it, my makeup does move and its not fully transfer free. However, I do believe that it is worth it based on the cost.
I don't really mind that it came scratched right out of the box but the formula is just too watery. My Other setting spray that I use is by Nyx and when on the face it dries down a little crunchy but thats a good thing cuz it actually does something. But if you'd prefer your setting spray to dry down sticky and not serve its purpose than maybe this is for you. If you'd like perspective on how long it'll last you, I bought it last month and just used the last of it today. That makes sense because i spray it a lot.
