when i got this, i tried it right away. the brush it came with didn't really do that well with applying it nicely. a few days later, i tried it with a different brush and wow! the light catches the glow. it's so pretty. my face is glowing with this highlighter! i think it's how and what you apply it with.
I bought this 2 years ago, and I still have a bunch of product left. I used this as my first highlighter and I will use it forever. This is better than the Balm-Mary-Loumanizer because it brightens and highlights at the same time. AND you don't have to stand under the sun to see the effects of this holy grail item!!!
This is a crisp, pinky white shimmer that literally lasts all day, whether I am wearing a full face of makeup or bareskin, this shimmer lasts all day. STUNNING on the cheekbones but I put this wherever I can get away with putting it! I tend to stick with bright highlighters and this does exactly that! LOVE IT!
So one day I was at the store and I seen this highlighter so I figured I would give it a try, but it honestly surprise me how pigmented, soft, and creamy this highlighter was! It is now one of my everyday highlighters. And the price is amazing!!
i bought this about a month ago and so far im very pleased with it! at first i didnt think i was going to like it because when i swatched it on my hand it didnt look like it was going to give me any glow and it did have some fall out to it but once i put this on my skin with a tapered highlighting brush it gives off such a beautiful natural glow, it also has a hint of a wet look to it with out it being over the top. its great for everyday. i feel like this would look good on light to medium skin tones, i wish they would create more shades to fit everyone. i would totally recomend giving it a try especially for the price!
I absolutely love it, there are some cons to it though. It does wear off and to make it shine as much as I want it to I use a setting spray. But in my opinion I think this product even is better than the Illuminating Palette, it gives off way more shine.
I purchased this item in the gold and the pink. The pink did not show up at all and seemed to throw a lot of powder around in the compact. The gold did show up nicely and didn't seem to make as much of a mess. I think I will enjoy the gold for summer, but the pink is just not noticeable at all. I give the gold 5 stars and the pink zero stars.
I liked this shimmer BUT in order for it to even subtly show on my skin I have to layer it over my Stila liquid shimmer (and blend well) which gives it a better base to adhere to. My skin tone for ELF purposes is deep but in the Black community its more of a medium tone.
I bought these in both colors. The gold is quite pigmented and really pretty. The pink is a very light shell pink. It looks great on really fair skinned people like me, and is more subtle than the gold. Both shimmers are powdery and prone to fallout, especially if you use the included brush. Throw the included brush away. It's useless. It kicks up and wastes a ton of powder, and is much to small to do anything with. I use a large, rounded, powder brush. Using that type of brush there is much less fallout, better control of the color, and it's so much easier to blend. Not the best shimmers ever, but pretty good for the money. The little mirrors in the cases are nice to have.
This shimmer with brush is not that great. The pigmentation is poor. It's powdery instead of shimmery. Alot of product comes off and doesn't apply on skin.
