I ordered this bench for my foyer at home! I have a 2 year old with a lot of toys, and it is great for storing them when company is on the way! Although the bench will not hold anything very heavy, it is a beautiful addition to any home. I also love that the bench is controlled by a safety hinge so that my daughter doesn't smash her fingers!
This product is exactly what my wife and I were looking for in our bedroom. It fits very nicely at the foot of our queen size bed. It has great storage space and is very sturdy. I am a large man and I use it every morning to get ready for work. the price was alittle higher than I wanted to spend, but I do not regret it one bit.
The bench is great. It is very sturdy and has a nice finished look. When I first put it together, I was a little disappointed by how short it was, but if you use cushions along the back (rather than the seat) then it corrects for that and looks great. It is so nice to have the extra storage, but I wouldn't plan to use it for storing anything too heavy, as the bottom of the storage won't hold much weight.
The overall value of this product is good. The bench has a nice finish, even if the bottom panel, and front panel are a little too thin for my liking (but at this price I guess you cannot expect more than this.) The assembly of this bench is quite easy (it toke me about 15 minutes.) When I purchased this item online, the "ship to store" option was not available. The very next day I saw that this bench qualified for the "ship to store" option. I could have saved $20 had I waited one day: not to happy about it. When the box arrived, it was not in a very good shape. It looked like somebody had dropped it. Fortunately, there were only some minor scratches on what turned out to be the inner part of the rear leg (which is not visible when standing in front of it.)
This bench has such a nicely polished dark finish that it blends with my pricier living room furniture. The added storage space is a great feature as well.
This product has a nice finish and sturdy construction. However, there were some minor surface blemishes and nicks on some pieces, but these were easily covered up with a furniture marker. Don't buy this piece if you expect perfection, but if this is going to be used frequently, a few nicks probably won't matter much.
