It includes two sets of cards: the red cards, which include the name of a person, place, thing, or event, and the green cards, which include the characteristic of a person, place, thing or event. We had many hours of fun at our family gathering. We had plenty of people to play. It is also a very entertaining way to help teens like my daughter with ADHD intelectual to learn a bit more.

The weird and zany combinations are much prefered to the serious and the more far fetched the explanation, the more likely you are to win!

None of the cards were inappropriate for a family, but they definitely had some funny combinations. Cards are smooth, so they glide across the table nicely and fit back into the box easily.

The game play is very much the same…Pick a card, choose a main word, everyone throws the card they think works best with the word, dealer reads the combinations and selects the winner. Easy and fun!

I already own the original Apples to Apples in the larger box, however, I wanted something more compact that would be easier to bring to places and travel with. This specific edition helps with just that, so I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a smaller version of the same game. The game itself is so simple to learn, yet one of favorites. It is just so fun, both for children and adults alike :) Highly recommend!

My 12 year old son is on the early end of the age range but got into it quickly. It's nice that it isn't time/reflex dependent so that older kids/young teens have an equal opportunity to win.
