i absolutely love this watch. exceeded my expectations. the silver face with red accents is very cool looking. this watch looks like a much more expensive watch. the display is multi colored and is highly visible in all light. when you turn on the backlight, the display digits are blue, green and red. it looks really good. (the walmart picture as shown has the backlight on). armitron is the best watch you can buy for the money. i had the watch shipped to store and i had the watch in 2 days! it is really fast. go for it, youll love this watch.
As far as I know there are four accented colors: red, green, blue, and tan. Like the title says this watch is simple and awesome. I have a mid range watch that I only wear outside of work so I needed something simple and cheap that will give time and not be afraid of scratching or damaging it. Pros: - This watch is good looking in the store and even more elegant and beautiful when you bring it home. After owning it for over three weeks I would price the watch in the $30-$40 range. - The materials are absolutely gorgeous. The front bezel and the back case are all steel with real metal screws unlike other watches in this price range that has chrome plastic. - The display is easy to read due to the large time, day and date. Which in my opinion is all that is really needed. The day display is a dot matrix and the date and time is different in size giving this watch a modernistic appeal. - Armitron calls the lighting method Instalite Night Vision, which I think is amazing. The day is green, the date red, and the time is blue. You can even see the colors of the text under natural or artificial light. The light stays on for 3 seconds which is a good time. - The watch is extremely easy to use and the manual is a little piece of paper that should take less than 10 minutes to read and apply. - The beep and alarm is pretty decent in decibel - The buttons are recessed to prevent accidental hit and it is very easy and soft to push (may be a con for some) - A feature that is not listed is that the watch is shock resistant Cons: - The watch face is kind of small for men and I have a pretty thin wrist. If your wrist is 7" in circumference and over it may start to look like a ladies watch. - The band is also very narrow at 11/16th. I wish that it could be slightly wider. - The color availability is limited in the store or online Overall the cons is overwhelmed by the pros making this watch a bargain and a must get. I highly recommend this item and may even consider getting another as a backup. Originally I was looking for sports watches including Timex Ironman and high end Casio G-shocks only to come across this an equal competitor. Only time will tell how it will hold up to durability, until then...I guess it wouldn't hurt to get another brand new one.
This watch is a great value, we bought it for our 8 yr old son and he was thrilled. It isn't too big for his arm, and yet my husband could comfortably wear the watch too. A very nice watch for the money.
