I received the X700 as a gift a couple of months ago. The adhesive on the rear camera recently became loose and I contacted customer service. They replied right away to send me replacement adhesives, so I'm very happy with the service. And the camera has been working great! It's wonderful to be driving with peace of mind!
I have had an X500 dashcam for a few years now and need another one for our other vehicle, so I decided to go with the X700 + rear cam bundle. Very happy with my choice the X700 is small enough as not to obstruct your view but covers the whole front from side to side. Were very happy with this unit if you're looking for an excellent dash cam at a good price the X700 is the one.
The dash cam works really fine for me. The video resolution is average. Sometimes it's easy to read the license plate and sometimes it's not. I think it also depends if the license plates if they aren't too dark to read. The overall installation process was easy. It took 45 minutes to set up the front and rear camera along with the cable route. The settings of this dash cam is easy to setup. But, if you plan get clear video, i will definitely suggest to get U1000.
The purchase is an upgrade of my previous model X500 which I'd used for almost 5 years and I love everything about it. And one of the most important facts for me is that the dash cam is "Made in Korea." Moreover, the customer service of Thinkware is outstanding! I have had an X550 system, with front and rear facing cameras for about 4 years. I have NEVER had any trouble with it all all. My wife has the Q800PRO system in her vehicle. Same thing.....no issues whatsoever. We have three children driving now and I will be ordering systems to go in each of their vehicles. We live in Texas, so we were worried about the systems making it through our harsh summers; but not sweat at all! Great products!
Excellent camera for the price. The quality is great and the software is easy to navigate, love the parking surveillance mode. Installation was a breeze on my F150. Would highly recommend.
1st. class products and first class service. Product comes with everything required for a great install and the downloadable user manual is very complete.
using x700 front/rear bundle. Only issue I have is interference from my cars antenna to the rear camera wire causing weird sounds on my speakers. Adding ferrite cores did not solve the problem
This is decent camera. Would love if it have couple things. Wifi n Internet notifications alerts
License plates are always blurry so unless you read the plate out loud so the cam will record your voice, you won't catch whomever you had an issue with. Found that out the hard way after someone flashed a gun at me. The cam can't be turned to the side if you need to record something to your left or right. The “security LED” has never worked. I jumped through lots of hoops to prove LED was not working. Thinkware finally agreed to replace the cam with a cam that the “product development team” had personally checked before shipping. You guessed it, no working LED.
